Why keep the windows up?
I've seen this a lot recently and couldn't really see the reason for it. I see it a lot around town with people having the top down but the windows up. They're going maybe 40mph but no faster, so wind noise isn't all that high. Is there any other reason for leaving the windows up? Just doesn't look right to me.
the only time i ever put my windows up wille the top is down is if i notice a cloud of dust or i have to answer the freekin phone if im going over like 40 cuz then i cant hear them other than that the windows stay down....

Like someone mentioned above it's usually the older crowd with sebrings and bmw's I see doing it alot. I hate it and never understood it. I tried it once in the stang on a cold day with the heater on. It helped but looked stupid.
Why the problem? No problem really. It just looks stupid.
How would all these cars in our sigs in this thread look with the windows up... See any?
Once in a while to talk on the phone etc. of course, who cares...
But to say say there is nothing wrong with and doesn't look bad, yes it does.

you might want to concentrate on ways to make yourself better before you start acting like you know what's good for everybody else ;-)

you might want to concentrate on ways to make yourself better before you start acting like you know what's good for everybody else ;-) easy guys...I think that it really depends on where you live thats all..I never put the top or windows up because it is never that cold....on days I drive it...but if I was in MA or somewhere like that I probably would since its colder there more often....either way...convertibles were made to feel good and enjoy while driving....so lets just enjoy them and leave it at that...By the way I think everyone would agree that everything down does look better, but is what you like that matters...
when I read the thread "convertible weather" (80's temps) popped in my mind. That's why I keep my windows down. It was almost 90 the other day and I just happened to notice z3's and z4's going around town with the windows up/top down, it's kinda odd. During phone conversation or cooler weather however I think it's fine, I don't think the thread starter was referring to an end all be all, rather I think he was referring to typical conditions where we put our tops down. hell maybe everyone should start putting disclaimers at the end of their posts.

Well I live in friggin Detroit and if I'm on the rock spitting semi truck highway or it's about 60 or less, my windows are up.
I'm putting that freaking top down anytime I have a chance, but I still got to be able to enjoy it. Freezing my right ear of isn't enjoyable.
On a cloudy 60 degree day the windows make all the difference.

I hope you guys can forgive me, because your judgements are pretty important ;-)
