Default We had fun at the mile. PICTURES N VIDS

Big thanks to Diablosport for sponsoring the event. You guys made it awesome for us and our crew. It ended up being a not soo organized outing but, regardless, it was a true blast. Thousands of people showed up for a great day in the hot Florida sun. We saw multiple styles and makes of cars,... from 194mph Celica's,... to 217mph Porsche's, it was a riot. I won't get into the hiccups of the event(mostly overbooked, and unorganized) but, we ended up having a DNF with one of our cars, Z07 Josh's C5R directport sheetmetal intaked Z06 ended up having what we believe to be a valvetrain issue on the dyno the day before soo, it was merely a hood orniment for the show as it was pretty much parked at the diablosport booth/trailer. We saw hundreds of pictures taken of his car though, which was pretty cool.

We saw more Vettes at this show then any other two/three cars. It was pretty cool. Not to mention about 5 or 6 ZR1's. We all stopped counting. Buddy went an estimated 195mph in his TT built G35 racecar. Onebad cad had a riot, taking his caddy to,... I wanna say in the 60's or 70's. I forgt, cause there were soo many numbers in my head from a hundred different cars. Big thanks to onebadcad for being cooler then sliced bread and throwing me his keys to his blown C6, which I drove to a speedo indicated 180mph, and also allowing my cousin Z07 Josh to drive the car as well, including his girlfriend as a passenger. They both had a blast, and appreciated it very much. Also Marco really enjoyed the ride in the CTS-V, as he hasn't been that fast in a while. He liked it.

We ended up having a large crew from my work show up, which was very cool to see. Probably about 10-15 guys showed up to show support,.. so that was cool. Big thanks to my aunt and uncle for feeding EVERYONE,...allowing us to use there trailer, the golf cart, etc. EEveryone really appreciated that. Would not have been the same without you two. My parents showed up, awesome, and alot of friends. Very cool, very good time. Totally OUR enviornment. One of the funest parts of the day was when I took the vette for a ride, took a passneger from work,... we went for a pass,.. launched awesome.... hit second,....clutch spun,..****,.... pedal pedal,...****, shift third.......pedal...lift.....slowly engage the throttle again,..easing into third, clutch grabed,.... hit 4th. grabbed,,.... hit 5th, grabbed..... 175 indicated.....lift.......slow,... down shift,....downshift,.... and we took the turn at the end of the track in third gear, where the car was so nicely using up all of the tarmac,....my buddy in the passenger seat,.... had the time of his life, as he just went 170+mph,... then took a corner at who know what,...at speed, under throttle,.... he thought he was inside the forzamotorsports video game. He was laughing his *** off.

So it was all about fun, all about spending time with friends, meeting new people,... and lighting a fire under my *** that, next time, January,.. I will be entering my car in this event, no matter what. I had too much fun. This is by far, was funner then drag racing for a 1/4 mile. It's the same as drag racing, right up till you hit 4th gear,.........then you engage 5th,.....and keep it matted. Wicked ****. Legally.

Peace out.

ps. I had two incar video's but, the batteries played tricks on me each time, I turned on the camera, i beeped, like it should,.. I turned my attention to the staging lanes,.....the camera turned off. So, my bad.

However, lots of pictures I am sure, will find there way here hopefully.

Who was driving that Z06?

He should of slam'd 2nd and held the wheel to the left instead of laying off, then he would of seen 190 ;-)

What a great event guys, I wish I was invited!

SlowSeries- Do you happen to know the runways FT?

Thanks

"A foot (plural: feet or foot;[1] symbol or abbreviation: ft or, sometimes, ′ – the prime symbol) is a non-SI unit of length, in a number of different systems, including English units, Imperial units, and United States customary units. Its size can vary from system to system, but in each is around a quarter to a third of a meter. The most commonly used foot today is the international foot. There are three feet in a yard and 12 inches in a foot."
