Im kinda thinking about doing the same thing but I would really like a coupe because of the targa top. I dont plan on road racing or anything so would it be worth it to just put a supercharger and bolt ons on a coupe for street driving enjoyment?

I went from a bolt-on '02 WS.6 M6 with low miles then I bought a '02 Z06 for two thousand LESS than the WS.6 and Havent looked back at all. Only thing bad about the Z06 is you will find yourself taking the long way back home and to work everytime

i should of never read this thread . i sat in a 02 vette years ago an though yellow is one of favorite colors on a vette i was not really that comfortable. 6'2 230lbs here. i don't get reading on here guys in the 6' 5 and up rang e are comfortbale in those things i really just don't see it. ive heard the c6's are a lot more roomier?? is that true?
ive never driven vette and i would like to but that would probably be a bad idea lol. i love the muscular harshness of my ss. the only thing i would change is the stock seats..i hate'em.

I just sold my 408ci Camaro 9.1 compression with built tranny and 9inch basically all it needed is turbo and fuel to go 800hp..it was crazy to sell it but i saw an 02 vette electron blue with only 48k that i just couldnt take my eyes off, its hard when you built something for so long and spend so much money then one day you just have to let it go..i hope i dont look back one day and regret it im sure i will be happy when i get the Z06

As others have said the Z06 is a totally different experience. Its much smoother and more refined than an f body but still is raw and kinda has a race car feel to it. Knowing the car is fast, handles great and has awesome brakes gives you a feeling like you own the road.

Yeah same boat here got my rare convertible SS for sale and may have a buyer. I am wondering if I will miss the the fact that my car is a 1 of 2 car being a som vert with tan on tan and a 6 speed. I swear I have people telling me how gorgeous it is every time it's out. I just added up all the bills for it and was floored on how much I spent over the 7 years of having her. I still smile everytime I get in her and take the top down. I'm not sure a Z being a HT is gonna live up to my SS lol. My car is a cruiser and doesn't make trips to the dragstrip or auto cross. I think if I had a Z I'd have to hit the 1/4 mile thou. Wish they had made the Z's in som but I do love the EB Z's with the mod red interior. That will be the car I buy if I sell the SS.
