Installed FAST LSXr 102 on the C5
Installed FAST LSXr 102 on the C5 Well I got my Nick Williams 102 tb and FAST 102 in this week. Im still waiting on my fuel rails but I couldnt resist and bolted on the FAST already. First of all the NW tb is awesome. One big solid piece with great workmanship. I ordered these from Vengeance Racing and they ported the intake also. They did good work opening the ports where they meet the heads and cleaning up the tb opening. Very happy with the intake from them. Also Ive noticed the regular grey color on the FAST gets dirty easy so I decided to paint it black. I just removed the cover, cleaned it with degreaser, hit it with industrial red primer enamel and finally painted it with industrial semi-gloss black. I put a heater on it to blow it dry and the paint cured very well. I think it came out great and looks like it was made in black. So now I just cant wait for my fuel rails to start this puppy up and get her tuned.

Everything fit perfect. I only had to remove a plactic snap bolt on the wiper cowl. Other than that no issues. It was bolted on in less than 10min.
As for the fuel rails, I ordered the LS2 oem rails from FAST designed to fit a LS1/6 C5 (98 or newer). I shouldnt have to cut anything...I hope.

Well I got the fuel rails in today and everything went in easy. Within 15min I had the car running. Everything fits and the hood doesnt seem to hit the rails at any point. The car idled a little crazy at first and gave me a tb position code. I erased it and did an idle relearn on the car. I will put some miles on it tonight and see if that helps the car idle better since I probably wont be able to have it tuned until late next week.
Btw, I can tell this thing just wants to rev up. I barely give it throttle and I wants to go. Lol. Loving it.

I am bringing this one up just because I got my 102mm intake the other day, and didn't realize the fuel rails need to be changed.
My question is, did you get the injector/coil covers back on? If so, how tough was it to get them to fit?

I've heard the same. It's like for every 2 posts of the Fast 102 losing power on a 346 there is 2 posts of it showing gains. Also Vendors are picking up power and Independents are losing power. I think it's a hit or miss intake on a 346.

I have had the fast102 intake on for a while now and after changing from stock injectors to the 42 racetronix injectors then a tune, i noticed that i gained a little bottem end and in 3rd around 4300rpms its start's to pull like a MF all the way till i let out which was about 180mph. I had hell with the fitment but i think it was from the solid motor mounts that i installed while doing the intake. I guess it depends on the setup you have wether you lose or gain power?
