Weld RTS 18"s on C6 Z06 Pics and info
Thought I'd post this up. I have 18x4.5" on the front of the car. They fit perfectly and I'm very happy with them. Unfortunately, Weld had the wrong fitment when they were building 18x12"s for the rear and I found that out a few days before my long-planned trip to the drag strip. They are sending me 18x11"s for the rear with the correct offset to clear the calipers and not stick out of the fender wells. The first set they sent, the spokes wouldn't clear the caliper. I was a little heated because of the timing, but they did make it right after we talked over the phone. I'll post up some more pics when I get the rears on.
Info you need for the correct rear fitment: 18X11.0 S71 5X120 7.6BS (41mm offset) Black 3.18 ID High Pad

Thanks guys. There's a ton of pics of the truck over on duramaxforum. If you start on the first page there's quite a few pics, just have to weed through the douche bags...

Update if anyone's wondering why vendors have 18x12 rts rears for the vettes on their websites. I asked again whether or not they made 18x12"s and this is what I was told by Weld:
We have always offered the medium pad 18x12, which you just returned, for the Z06. It wasn’t until your set that we discovered, using a brake diagram provided by the Specialty Equipment Manufacturer’s Association, that the Z06 rear brake requires the high pad wheel. Any previous shipment of 18x12s for the Z06 would have been the medium pad wheel. I can only assume that each customer altered the brakes to make the wheel work or made some other modification.
We do make a 18x12 high pad wheel, but we do not have enough back space or have a short enough outer (wheel part) to keep the wheel within the wheel well. The high pad 18x12 wheel would stick out of the quarter panel more than an inch. For this reason, the 18x11 is the largest high pad wheel recommended.

Might make for a good street skinny although only rated at 130 mph. But who needs to go faster than that anyway unless you want to run the Texas Mile. It is considered a street tire so probablly ok on wet roads.

A lot of guys running your mph run the GTO spares to drag race. They are rated at 81 mph. I suspect for drag racing that MT tire would be good short distance to 140 for sure. Probably wouldn't want to run the mile where speeds get quite a lot over 140.

Madesome changes to this car over the past year. Added a custom d1 procharger kit, fuel system, guages and so on. 91octane & dual nozzles spraying 100% methanol.
Same engine as before. NA it made 550\500 to the tires at 6800rpms. New #s are 874\782 at 11 psi at 6100 rpms. Belt slip is bad after that since it doesnt have a direct/flip drve yet. I think it has 900+/800+ in it when belt slip is resolved.
It was absolutely melting the belt on the track sunday and still went 10.6 @ 140 with a 1.87 60'. Drove it there, left the zr1 19s on the front, left the filter on the blower, and with me and all my junk in it the car weighed over 3500lbs. I was way happy with it. With a few small changes I think it will go closer to 150 in the 1/4

Same as before. 11:1 ls7 427. Callies magnum crank, katech rebushed oem titanium rods for .927 wristpins, diamond forged pistons. Stock heads with lingenfelter cnc program, titanium intake/exhaust valves, tie bar lifters, roller rockers, 240/248 .650s lift, RPS billet carbon twin disk clutch/aluminumflywheel. previous owner built it as an endurance hpde (track day) car and made 550/500 on motor with oklahoma premium (91oct) it made 570/530 on whatever the previous owner ran it on, but the dyno I had it on is also a heartbreaker. Its a light, rev happy sob. I have never had a ls car as snappy as this one is.
