Looks nice. Why the swap to auto? Were there any issues fitting that 60e in?

He got tired of the stick and he wants to drag raace it. Were there any issues fitting that 60e in? The exhaust wasnt fun and he had to run some hard lines for the trans. There is a line that goes out the back of the rear that had to be relocated to come out of the bottom of the rear end, you can see it in the picture.

Great job J. Glad to see the car is done. You have been a pioneer with auto Z06s and ZR1s. Your probly the most helpful person when it comes to these conversions.

Is your buddy on here? Very curious to hear how extensive it was to get that baby in there.

I'd imagine it wasn't the easiest and cheapest thing to do.

I'm sure he'll love it drag racing though!

Thanks for the kind words, I have been trying to get this done for 2 years now. Every component needed for the swap has been in the garage or on the pool table for better than a year now, I just needed some spare time and fresh knuckles to bust LOL

All else being equal, I have found the auto conversions to be .3 to .5 sec quicker in the 1/4, mainly due to the 60' the auto can cut. It was timkje to be done, 6k mi and the zr clutch was gone, with only about 30 passes on it....

My first thought is what are the Vice Grip for?
My second thought was COOL!

At no time did I think it would be hard or expensive, but please school me.

I mean DAMN he only provided 5 pictures so how hard COULD it be?

How extensive was the install work and roughly how long do you think it took you to do the install alone?

On another note: 2011 RXTX - what all is done to it? I just picked up a 12 STX15F this summer as my first jet ski. Will likely up to it a Seadoo when I get more experienced

Wow. I think this is the one Jthurik was telling me about at the meet this past weekend. Will be interesting to see what times he gets out of it.

Certainly an unusual conversion. Does the 4L60 hold the 600+ lb.ft of the LS9?
