Default FOR SALE: 1969 Stingray 427

I am selling my 1969 Stingray 427.
It is Red with Saddle interior and has a L36 motor (390 hp/427 cu in) and a M21 transmission (Muncie close ratio 4 speed) and the fender louver inserts, and shoulder belt option (only 600 with this option) and side pipes. I have done too much to this car to list as far as restoration goes. I will be happy to discuss that with any potential buyers. I am asking $25,000 obo.
This car has t-tops and a removable back window.

The big block cars were only made from 1966 to 1974. The 427 was only available from 66 to 69 in the Corvette. The big block cars are the most sought after Corvettes and the metal bumper cars are going up in value every year. This car is steadily appreciating. I am regretfully selling it to make room in my garage and to pay off credit cards. I am sure I will regret it, but being responsible isn't always fun...LOL! I don't need two cars right now anyway. I thought I would post here first before I run an ad in the Auto Trader.

I will email pics of the car to anyone interested.

Thanks,
Dean

I can't believe you are selling your dream car. I would probably get rid of the 03 first. But I guess if you can only have 1 car it needs to be newer more reliable car. I wish I had the money. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks, It is not an easy decision and I may change my mind if someone doesn't buy it quick...LOL. It runs great, but it is also not a daily driver, it should be garage kept and preserved.

VERY NICE CAR!!! I would trade you my 99' FRC in a heartbeat for that thing..... I know you will regret selling it, as I had a 71' Olds 442 with the 455 that had a lot of rare options that I sold this last fall.... I am still regretting it!! Good luck, and that is a beautiful Corvette!!!

Did you post an ad in the C3 section of Corvette Forum? I'm sure there would be some people interested in a very nice looking BB.

(BTW, the big block first appeared in '65. It was only a 396, but still a big block...)

Good luck selling.

No I haven't posted anything on the Corvette Forum yet. I am aware that the 396 was available in 65, but it was only one year and the 427 and 454 were the main big blocks. But you are right, it is still a big block.

My father lives close to the Katy area and he might be interested in your '69 vette....would you be interested in a cash offer of $20K?

How many miles on both vette/motor?
To what extent has it been restorded?
Original color?

I would consider $21k, but no less. The motor is rebuilt, and the car has been repainted Red, the original color was Riverside Gold. I can go over all of the parts that have been put on the car if you come out to look at it, there are too many to list. The restoration was started by the previous owner and I have been finishing it. It is a frame on restoration, I have receipts for all of the parts. It is in great mechanical condition and everything works. If you or your father would like to look at it, PM me and I'll give you my number.
