2002 z06 1/4 times Has anyone out their had their 2002 zo6 to the drag strip or seen any of then run? I

Re: 2002 z06 1/4 times A few people have hit 12.4 and I'm pretty sure I recall one guy on CF going 12.2 <img src="graemlins/gr_hail.gif" border="0" alt="[hail]" /> . Not sure if this was on slicks though.

Re: 2002 z06 1/4 times Head over to www.zo6vette.com and ask there. I believe there is one Z06(2002) owner who got his into the 11.9x range with just drag radials. I think there are 2 more owners who got their 2002 Zs into the 11s with the addition of an air intake set up only, plus sticky tires.
Most of the 2002s seem to be dynoing right in the mid 350rwhp and 340rwtq range. A few into the 360rwhp range and 350rwtq range.

Re: 2002 z06 1/4 times I went 12.24 @ 116.8 with a 1.96 60' time and that was with just a K&N air filter and throttle body bypass. At that point I hadn't figured out how to launch it yet (it is very different than an F-body). With just a Halltech T1 intake , MAFT and some practice I ran 11.84 @ 118.82 with a 1.77 60'. All of the mods to my car are listed in my sig. Everything else is stock.

Re: 2002 z06 1/4 times Hey butcher1, awesome times!!! Is that on street tires as well? If so, I would say you definitely learned how to launch. What the temp, density, etc. like when you ran that? Not much cold weather here in Texas!

TXNC5 - If it isn't listed in my sig , then it was "as delivered from the factory". In other words , the stock tires. I figured out that doing a good burn out is the key to getting this car out of the hole. The only change I make at the track is to lower the rear tire pressure to 26 psi and raise the fronts to 50 psi. The weather was pretty good. It was 50* , the humidity wasn't bad (50-60%) and the barometer was in the high 29's or low 30's. There was a slight head-wind though.

Re: 2002 z06 1/4 times I ran mine at HRP last Sunday. 437 miles on odometer. No cool down, didn't even alter tire pressure. Great weather, stiff 20mph headwind. Coolant was 207 when I approached the box:

It was a real improptu trip out there and I was pressed for time. I made three hot lap passes and went home. I checked my tire pressure the following day and the rears were freakin 35psi.
BTW..the car weighed 3070 (1/4 tank)

Re: 2002 z06 1/4 times My buddy Sean has an 02 Z06. Mods are Haltech T1 intake, long tubes, gutted cats, and a B+M ripper shifter, O and a NX 100 shot. Car went 11.90@120.xx on motor and 11.40@127 hitting the brakes so he wouldnt get thrown off the track. This was done on stock street tires.
