Anyone who buys that car with the hopes of rebuilding it is a moron.......that car is fucked!

Not many body shops out there are certified/trained to repair the aluminum frame rails, once a cars frame is bent or cracked it's done.

It would make a good parts car though.

Um, says who? If you think that you must not know any good shops.

I wouldn't, however, touch that car. There is A LOT more going on with that car than meets the eye.

luckily the fender was not damaged. looks like it needs a front bumper, headlight, hood, and quarter panel and rear bumper. yet that repair bill would be about $20k.

Einstein, the frame on the 06 ZO6 is aluminum, and not many body shops have been certified to repair them.

The only right way to make that car perfect again is to start with a new frame and transfer over any reusable parts and replace the damaged parts with new ones, but that cost might be greater than buying a new ZO6.

Like I said before, it will make a good parts car.

Thank you Captain Obvious. You said once A car's frame is bent it's junk(you made a general statement about cars in general) and that's just not true. Also, a "Good" shop COULD fix that ZO6. The car is junk to the average guy that would go to a shop to have it fixed. That'd be a good deal for a good body man that has good equiptment at his disposal.

Yeah in my opinion any car that has a bent frame is done. I wouldn't feel comfortable driving a car that at one time had a cracked or bent frame.

The guy selling that ZO6 obviously bought it from an insurance company that had totalled it and they totalled it for a reason.

You said yourself that you wouldn't touch that ZO6.

Now the question is...

Can that car be repaired and put back on the road?

Yes it can.

But the only way someone could fix that car and put it back on the road is to cut corners if they want to make a profit which will compromise the quality and safety of the car, plus the person that buys that car probably won't be informed that it once was a totalled car.

Now if you feel comfortable driving a car that is a rebuilt total then more power to ya.

The car has a salvage title, so any buyer will know. BTW, the car was totaled onan on-ramp to the Garden State Parkway by a dentist. BTW #2, he already has another Z06 from the same dealer in the same color.

That car could definitely be fixed as good as new by a good body frame man. However, it wont be easy or cheap and it will alwayes have a salvage title and not be worth much on resale or trade in. I wouldnt give more than 25k for it.
