Default C5 Z06 + boltons = dyno????

So I've been hearing ~350-355rwhp stock.... I've been hearing 365-370rwhp with an airbox and a tune... I'm hearing all sorts of numbers with headers...

So what is typical for:
heads, hi flow cats
Airbox
Tune
Ported OEM TB
Fans on at 175F

ProStock, your no dyno queen you need to be asking about times in the 1/4

Have you seen some of the time slips "Ranger" has been able to squeeze out of an almost stock Z? Nothing but CAI and DRs http://home.comcast.net/~weaver.robe..._time_slip.jpg

Not sure if that is his best but it's kickin for the stock ride.

Friend of mine has a 98. He said the CAI and long tubes (LG off roads) were the two best bolt ons he did. No dyno numbers before he added the ProCharger though.

Have you done any scanning/tuning yet? One thing I've found so far is my TPS seems to be off. It shows 7% at warm idle. Haven't started searching on that yet but I'm guessing it's wrong and I'll need to find a way to adjust. Have to learn some of this all over again as compared to the 98 LS1.

Yeah, I've read and reread the exploits of Ranger and the other guys who were flogging their stock and near stock Z06's a while back. I'm just curious right now, I can't swing a set of headers for the Z06 right now I have to finish the Formy.

Understand the header thing, I'm in the same boat. What's the new combo in the formula? Going fast sure does cost a shiny nickle.

Formy was 8.3:1 348ci + Vortech YSi + Front mount + 236/246 cam. Went 9.4@143mph on a 1.35 with overly safe tune.

Formy will be a 8.3:1 348ci + Precision GT 47-88mm turbo + Front mount + 237/231 cam + 150 lbs of weight reduction = 8.99 I hope on pump gas.

I've got a airbox on the way for the Z06. I will probably get the fans programmed to come on soon since it makes me sad to occasionally 220F in traffic.

I have to change the plugs, oil, and the clutch fluid in the Z06, install the airbox, and then go beat on it at the track.

I know a guy who has the stock ls6 heads ported and polished, I think a 224 cam but dont quote me on that, headers, and I beleive straight pipes to the stock mufflers, a cai, tune, and the other misc. boltons/free mods and is putting down 460rwhp.... I've seen him put about 4 cars on a new ford GT up to around 170, most on the top end too.... nice HP for the mods I think...

My car, 2002 Z06.
TPIS LT's w/off road x-pipe. Stock TI catback.
CAI
3.90's
No ported TB or pulley

364 rwhp, and 338 lbs. ft of torque on a Mustang dyno. I guess it would be 38X rwhp on a dyno jet. Car is strong. Not as fast as my old Z/28, but sneaky fast, because of the weight and gearing.

8's on pump gas is a heck of an accomplishment but sounds like a wicked combo you're putting together. When are you going to get that thing done and to the track?

Which box/filter did you end up going with? Did you get a new bridge too?

First car I've ever owned that has changing clutch fluid as a maintenance item I don't miss those old setups I had on the big blocks cars though. Left leg used to get a real work out just sitting at a traffic light.

Check out the #'s in my sig.

That's with 21 degrees of timing. With more timing 380RWHP + no problem.

Hmmm, 380rwhp with this lite of a car will be moving.

The Formy has 95% of the blower stuff off the car, and just waits for daddy to have time and remove the crank balancer.

Then I am installing the new AllPro heads and the cam, turbo etc. Maybe sometime this summer.

My '02 and '03 put down the same numbers when they were stock. 340/333. However , there was less than 1000 miles on each car when they were dynoed.

When my '02 had ported heads , ported TB , 160 t-stat , FLP headers (w/ cats) Halltech T1 and MAF Translator it put down 395/372. It ran a best of 11.60 @ 121.7 on the stock tires.
