Default Tear in my seat..... Help

I am starting to get a tear in my drivers seat. What should I do?

Should I try to find a new seat, or try to get this one fixed?

How much do new seats cost?

Thanks
Jeremy

i'm having the same issues in my 97. Its just 10 yrs. old and starting to show it. I have seen some seats on ebay for $500-$750 for just the skins. Entire seats with frames $1000 and then custom covers +$1000. There are some customs on there now they might match your car. I'm thinking of asking a local shop to quote custom skins and/or doing my own.

It's just tearing at the seam. You could probably get that stitched.

That is a common problem on the 97 to 99 cars. The seams tearing and/or excessive wear on the bolster are common. In 2000 they changed the bolster from leather to a pleather/vinyl material.

A good upolstery shop should be able to sew that back up. Another alternative would be to have the panel replaced if the rest of the seat is in good condition.

These cars don't have the best leather. It happens alot, especially where yours is coming apart.
