Default Alternator overdrive pulley (Different belt?)

I've had a 25% u/d pulley on my 2005 A4 Z51 C6 for quite a while now.. Only issue is that my ECT goes up when idling or in traffic due to the loss of power going to the water pump. Although I'm resolving this problem by installing an EWP and some redline water wetter, I also ordered an overdrive alternator pulley.

After installing the initial 25% u/d pulley, I had to change my serpertine belt to a dayco (5060780??? I THINK). Will I have to change my belt if I install the alternator overdrive pulley? The overdrive pulley is smaller than the stocker on the alternator, but not by much..

... Anyone with experience?

exactly, tentioner alone wasn't enough to make up for the smaller pulley.

bought the overdrive pulley from summit but ended up with the wrong piece... my mechanic said that it's the one for camaro's and GTO's.. Which overdrive pulley should I go for (2005 corvette) and where do you think I could find one from.. ?

Got the water pump installed and its screwing my voltage up.

I did the same pulley swap 4 years ago, and still run it. Try a 765-770 belt, as thats whats on my car. Got my alt pulley from TByrne

... I'm all the way in the middle east.. Just decided to fully charge my battery tomorrow and drive it to the mechanic and get the stock crank pulley back as opposed to the 25% u/d one... The gains I read about aren't worth the hassle no more.. It'll work fine with an MN6, but on my A4 our hot weather plus an EWP draining power off the battery, it's an overkill without an alternator pulley..

I might as well go for a Red Top optima battery over the stock AC delco...

I'm cleaning/polishing my stock crank pulley now.. Can't wait to be able to start/tune the car with the newly installed ported FAST90..
