Default New Projectors and HID's

What's up guys. I have a few pix posted on the Vette forum, but I know some of you dont go there to often so I figured I'd post them here. I wanted to go with these lights for a while, but figured they wouldn't put out too much light so I always hestitated on doing it. There have been a few threads about them lately on CF so i figured what the hell, I'll give them a shot. I took them apart and painted the inside and then the underside of the lens. Today I got my HID's from flea bay and installed them. They are 6K and were very cheap. I think they look pretty sweet. Anyways here are some pix of everything. Sorry not great quality shots (from my camera phone)

I don't like the lights but the car looks great...If I ever do HID's I would keep the pop-up function. I wish we could get fixed headlights that are flush with the body like the C6's.

Not 100%, but pretty sure there's a kit out there that make'em look more like the C6 lights. Someone may chime in here with some specifics, but I'm pretty sure there is a kit out there already.

Yeah I think there is, but your not going to be paying $500 for them, you'll pay twice, if not 3 times that price, lol so I'll settle for these They put out alot of light with HID's in them as well.

I found a black version of these with matching black turn signal lights on EBay. It looked fantastic. Was just looking at them this morning and was wondering how good they were.

Looks like they will be in my future!

Here's a pic we took last night. Not the greatest pic, but gives you an idea of what they look like with HID's. They could still be adjusted a bit, but i can see great the way they are.

I've been researching the C-5R lights for some time now. Quik Z06 By the way your car look great, I really like the HID look on the road in front of your car. How was it before you went to HIDs? Was the fixed light set up an inprovement over stock. I bought a set of these lights on flea-bay for less than 430.00 shipped, look around and you will find them, all the lights made by Depo in Asia, are the same. They are an OEM manufacturer also. I have not installed mine yet. I also ordered a set of HIDs for my fogs. I have cut out the license plate area in the front facia and I am in the process of installing two 5.5" round Catz lights in that area. Between the fixed projectors, the HID fogs, and the twin C5R type lights I will not be able to over drive my lights at night. I really bothers me that my headlights even with Tosheba IR bulbs are just a little better than holding a Mag light out the window at night.

I would say just switching to the projectors it put out about the same or just a bit more light than stock (which I was cool with) as long as they weren't worse. However now with the HID's its way brighter than stock, I love them.

Now...for example...the ones on EBAY...I see the tops(above the lights) are CLEAR...no BLACK(or whatever color you'd paint them)..... they are sealed...so you can't paint them,...unless you PAINT the outside.

Now, does anyone have those,...and, does the lights shine striaght up if they are not painted? And I don't mean straight up obviously...but, you get what i'm saying right?
