small problem after breaking in the 402, 1518 code
P1518 PCM to TAC Module Serial Data Circuit -
We installed the 402. The car started right up. Its holding idle really well. We throw a cam sensor code and realize that the wiring harness extensions sent to us with the 402 short block had been pinned backwards. Fixed that and repinned it.
Started it up again, and all is well. In fact the car idles almost better then it did before with the old motor/cam set up. We drive it around the block. All is well. We get 1/2 a mile down the road after letting the car sit idly by and the car reduces power, and we throw the 1518 code. The car will not rev past 1500 rpm or give any throttle response. I can hold the peddle down, and nothing happens other then getting up to 1500 rpm and not going any further/faster.
Has anybody had this problem before, and what have they done to rectify it?

I had the same problem with my 402 install, but my MAP sensor extender harness for the LS2 intake was wired backwards. I would also check your MAP sensor to see if it wired correct.

I had something simular twice. The first time was a bent pin on the 90mm throttle body connector. The second time was from the Max torque table in the pcm being set to low and putting the car in limp mode.

I didnt get mine right off the bat. I got mine after driving a bit. Then it came, and will not go away.

Sometimes disconnecting the battery and reconnecting will get rid of this code and problem. If not check the connections to the TB carefully and clean them. It shouldn't have anything to do with the cam sensor problem. Was this just after reflashing the PCM by any chance?
BTW: It seems like most have the problem with swapped wires on the cam sensor harness.

Got it resolved. There are multiple grey wires in the wiring harness, and you need to tap into one of them to wire the oil pump on. You are supose to wire into the grey one that turns the fuel pump on, but instead I got the one that goes to the throtle body.
I got it figured out. All is good, and I almost got 1k miles on the car.
