Made a "few" passes, found out a few things
Ran at Cecil County Dragway today during a private track rental.
I made a few passes (LOL) and also found out a few things about my car.
MY TIMESLIP INFO
Run - 60' ---- ET ---- MPH
#1 - 1.60 - 11.71 - 115.70
#2 - 1.62 - 11.70 - 116.09
#3 - 1.59 - 11.69 - 115.91
#4 - 2.43 - 15.28 - 73.00 (SPUN BAD and just cruised through)
#5 - 1.63 - 11.74 - 115.35 (tried adding 2* timing @ wot)
#6 - 1.58 - 11.66 - 116.22 (back to previous tune)
#7 - 1.59 - 11.66 - 116.14
#8 - 1.59 - 11.64 - 116.29
#9 - 1.60 - 11.72 - 115.43 (tried subtracting 2* @ wot)
#10- 1.60 - 11.70 - 115.90 (back to previous tune)
#11- 1.61 - 11.67 - 116.01
#12- 1.57 - 11.61 - 116.51 (New Best) (raised 1>2 shift rpm 100 rpm's)
#13- 1.57 - 11.62 - 116.45
#14- 1.59 - 11.67 - 115.74
#15- 1.58 - 11.63 - 116.46
#16- 1.60 - 11.64 - 115.84
#17- 1.57 - 11.62 - 116.32
#18- 1.61 - 11.66 - 115.75
#19- 1.57 - 11.62 - 116.17
#20- 1.57 - 11.65 - 115.50
#21- 1.59 - 11.66 - 115.71
#22- 1.57 - 11.62 - 115.93
#23- 1.58 - 11.67 - 115.52
What I found out:
1. My car LOVES being hot-lapped
2. The cutout makes no difference whatsoever (over my SLP dual/dual catback)
3. My car runs the same ET/MPH/60 foots with 342 gears, as it does with 410's.
4. My car runs pretty much the same 60 foots regardless of foot brake launch rpm.
5. If I didn't redlight every other pass, I'd be a helluva bracket racer, lol.

Thanks guys!
I already took them out. I made a half dozen passes a few weeks ago with the 410's. I got a new best (that I beat 6 times today with the 342's back in), but I didn't like screaming the car from start to finish at the track...not to mention what little gas mileage I got, disappeared.
Yep, still running the old tried and true hand me down PSI 226 cam.
Heck, I got 21 passes at MIR back in March for that rental Jason Miller had on Good Friday.

3755# (with me in it) according to MIR's scale when I met you last March.
Probably 20# heavier at the moment...
I wouldn't mind shedding some weight off of it, as long as it didn't look like it was gone...if you know what I mean? Losing ac and stuff like that is not an option, but losing stuff that doesn't affect safety or comfort is fine.

I had all of the bearings already, so I just had to buy a cheapo set of Summit brand 410's, which actually setup nice and easy, and were quiet as stock.

Ditto on the gear experiment! I keep thinking I need to move up from the 3.23's to at least a 3.73. I guess I'll just do the headers and catback next and see what it runs with the stock gears. Great passes! I hot lapped about 3 times at MIR yesterday and picked up mph on the both of the hot laps. Too bad I was spinning on those runs

Glad to help, lol.
Some things we need to just DO and figure out ourselves if they work in our combos.
The gears were a perfect example.
Some insisted the car would go quicker with more gear...It didn't.
Best pass 3 weeks ago (in very similar weather) with 410's was a 11.63@116 w/1.57 60'
A year ago, I removed front swaybar, added adjustable rear shocks, Spohn chassis mount torque arm, Spohn 25mm rear swaybar, and Spohn double adjustable panhard bar.
I did this because everyone said my stock suspension was hurting performance.
Guess what? Sixty foots were worse than now with STOCK everything. My best 60 foot ever with all the suspension stuff was 1.58 (Average of 1.61). My "average" yesterday was 1.59, with several 1.57's. So...2/100ths better average 60 foots by selling all of my high dollar suspension stuff.
I run JetHot 1-3/4" longtubes, Off Road Y, SLP dual/dual catback.
Everyone swears the cutouts add horsepower, MPH, better ET, etc...
I installed one and with it open got exactly .009 better...hardly a worthwhile investment for "my car", and proof (to ME) that the dual/dual works pretty damn good. I must admit though that I left it open all day as it does sound good at WOT.
It looks like my car is at a plateau since no matter what I do at this point, the car runs the same...I can add timing, subtract timing, launch low, launch higher, add fuel, subtract fuel...it makes no difference.
