I read it as FAST LSX intakes allowed, which is good for me because my will be on soon.
Oil doesn't touch it, and its easier to do that a set of headers and offers less gain on SI engines. May not be fair to the older entries on the list, but the same could be said about all bolts ons.
New stuff comes out all the time that is better than what was out before. I think it just makes the older runs that much more impressive. Like Colonel, for example, went 11.5 in 2000. How fast could he be now? That's why all records are broken. New methods, new parts, new knowledge, just all around new ways of looking at stuff. If that stuff never happened records would stay the same forever.

Not to intentionally stir up stuff, but wasn't RUQWIKR's record achieved with a car that had a FAST 90 intake?
The stipulations at the bottom of our list here indicate only LS1/LS6 intake swaps are allowed.
Maybe I'm mistaken and Dave can jump in here and shed some light on this for us.

Okay, so I did read it wrong. Glad I asked. Now, of course, I'll have to add a FAST 90/90 to my future-mod list.
Trust me, I remember the days when FAST's weren't around. I remember when Z06's came out, and the "LS6 intake" (which was also the '01-'02 LS1 intake) was all the rage.
I understand that with age the quality of the list will deteriorate, but I hope we can keep it as valid as possible until I can get my car running well.

So Shon isn't going to be put on the list?
Lets not forget he ran 11.80 @ 113 with an LT1 in the car. I think it's very believable that he went 11.59 with an stock LS1 swap. Less weight....more power, etc.
I say put him on....even if it puts me one spot closer to leaving the list.

The new owner might be completely honest in their presentation but do they really know for sure that there's not an undetectible LS6 cam in there or something. There's a lot of trust and honor system involved but it has worked well now for almost 10 years.
This is why I'm glad that I'm the actual original owner of both of my stock internal LSx cars.

Like streetlethal said.....It was back in 04. Would have been cheaper to stay that way. I put in a cam and spun two rod bearings 3 passes later. That kinda forced a rebuild. Raced almost every weekend SI. I miss those days.
Wilwaxu,
I guess I misunderstood. My bad. Shon is a straight up guy and I wanted to make sure he was added. Thanks.

Do you have to currently own the vehicle still?
