Default Full Weight 94 Impala goes 10.88 1st time out

Made it to the track last saturday for the first time on my new procharged LQ9 setup and I was more than pleased. Using my old tired 26x10 slicks spinning out of the hole and again way down the track prior to the 2-3 shift my 4300 lb Impala Super Sleeper managed to make 2 10 second passes. I think it has a whole lot more in it as it has cut 1.50 60's with less power. Got a lot of funny looks from the hard core racers since I drove to the track swapped tires busted a couple of tens and then drove by them and their trailers on the way home. Many thanks to Dave's Total Performance, Milford OH for their work on my car. Now its time for some real slicks a sticky track to see what it can really do.

Nice job!

That elbow could be killing some power.

nice results

The MPH is up there and once you get the 60 back it is really going to fly.

I do agree the intake elbow is most likely costing you some good power.

I didn't think the elbow would make much of a difference on a boosted application?

It really shouldn't pressure is pressure and I'm seeing 15.5PSI at the MAP and its putting down 669 HP to the wheels.

I do not think it really matters since this tank is rolling out hard, but I do feel that elbow is hurting power...maybe I'm wrong.

I'm sure with the stock hood you have no choice, but that elbow looks as if it would flow poorly.

diggin the fast sleeper! 130 mph should be good for low 10s all hooked up to the tune of 1.5x in the 60 foots. Good luck chopping off the e.t.
