Chris actually has his catback setup so that it can unbolt at the track.

Be worth looking into.
what kind of restriction...I don't want any hense the flow master merge into a 4 in outlet ORY...

although the merge is in the mail so I might just stay with the Y

If that's the case then drop the whole thing at the collectors.

I'm saying the 44 series didn't slow me down at all, you'd be able to toss a couple on at the header collector and dump them. Be quiet enough and they'll thin enough to tuck decent. Unless you're dropping everything at the track in that case don't bother. But, these would also be an easy drop... you could just slide them up on the collector (small adapter pipe and just put a tab on the pipe and on the header, and have one bolt to hold both sides on, no clamps to mess with etc.

That's how I did mine, that and one bolt in the ds loop comes out and 1/2 the exhaust comes right off, takes about 5 min to drop the whole thing if I want.

I'll take some this weekend. Shoot me an e-mail to my home address (n_lambert@sbcglobal.net) and that will remind me/give me your address to send them to... I still ( I know ) haven't figured out how to downsize them and get them up on here.

The tab, basicially runs lengthwise on the collector/pipe and one little bolt holds it on, and it works perfect. For a 44 series muffler you could put probably 4 inches of pipe on the end of one just to get it positioned right off the header then do that, and maybe one hangar to hold it up and a turndown.

I cut the ends off mine and welded the 3.5 inch pipe onto the muffler to run from the collector to the muffler, then some off the other end. If you look at my sig pic you can't see anything, I also painted everythign flat black with some high temp grill paint, and it's held up really good. Makes the whole system invisable. And like I said... it doesn't slow my car down AT ALL. Last year I raced, car went 9.59. 9.56 and 9.53 @ etown on **** prep with the exhaust, 1.40 to 1.41 60 foot times and about a 500 ft da, 2 weeks before with it off the car went a 9.54, 9.61, 9.56 and 9.57 with it off, 1.37 to 1.38 60 foot times but a 1500 da.

So basicially it made pretty much no difference, other then the weight. Trap speeds with it on were about 1 mph higher, but I attribute that to DA

Chris are you planning on going to Byron with Larry and the guys from Speed Inc. I'd love to see your car in action. I'm planning on doing a very similar setup to yours next year.

Chris, sorry to chime in so late here. I haven't been on Tech much for the past year or so since a rod bolt let go in my motor @ 7200 (bad day at the track) I've been more than impressed with your car the whole time you've been posting about it on here. Your new power curve is a dead ringer for the one in my h/c combo but you were blowing my car out of the water with just cam only.(Me 10.76 @ 126 with a 1.49 60' DA 800) A comparison between our cars sure shows how much having the car setup right means. I can't wait for your new times/mph's. Good luck with the new combo.
