First Time at Track With Stock 98Z28 Went out to Speedworld in AZ last night. 14.35 was the best I could do.
I know its a Vert (heavier) and has 2.73's but I thought I would at least crack high 13's.

What was the weather like? What were your 60' times? Hard to say whats going on without that info. The car might just need a simple tune up, plugs, wires, clean air filter, etc.

Temp was around 65 degrees. 60' times around 2.1. Just got the car a few weeks ago. Changed all the vital fluids but have not replaced the plugs, wires etc yet.

Being from AZ and raced at Speedworld a lot. You have to remember youre dealing with 91oct, 1300ft altitude, and horrible everything. I just checked the DA for last night, it was 2300ft. what was your trap speed? It may just be you need more practice.

I have not been through the car as far as a complete tune up, but overall she seems to be running fine.
Have some time off this week and will be putting on a catback and ftra, I'll change the plugs and wires also.
I know there are the factory freak fast cars, I hope I didn't end up with the factory freak slow one!

I see nothing wrong with the ET of this car! My friend had a 98 TA 11k miles and bone stock it ran 14.3@98 here in Vegas he had 3.23s though.... He added an SLP lid,i cut his air box underneath and went again and ran 13.8 next mod was DRs and a NX 150 shot and ran 11.77
3.23s or 3.42s,3600 minimum stall,big tranny cooler,SLP lid and watch your car run in the 12s at your DA
