Drop the pressure a little bit and grab you a 2 step and let it eat.

I'm with ya brother. I think I'm going to try the rev limiter approach and see what it get's me. 6800 shouldn't be too bad on the drivetrain

We've got pretty much identical cars and I went a 1.62 on ET streets (26x10.50x16) with 5-5.5k clutch dumps. Lots of tire spin though.

Yeah, I keep up with your car a little since I read you have the TQR2 cam like mine. I always like to see where I'm at with those with similar mods.

Yeah, with the ET streets I hit one 1.69 spinning sideways out the hole lifting the left front about 4 inches. I couldn't believe i still ran an 11.7. I plan on going back one last time while it is still cool down here to get some better NA times. I plan on spraying this winter so I want to know what my best NA can be before hitting it with the dope. Keep me posted on your times.

Well the only weak link I can think of is the input shaft. I have a built rear, suspension, driveshaft etc.. We'll maybe the clutch but it is a wear part so i know if i keep driving it like I do it will need to be replaced soon anyway.

Let me know how you do with your combo.

What do you spin your motor to? I'm probably cutting myself short as I shift at 6200-6400 (Stock rod bolts). My car has never even thought of lifting a tire. Impressive trap speed for that as well, mine's never com close to that. That may be part attributed to my lower shift points. Who knows. Mine made 400/370.

That setup won't ever see that track again as my setup is making a big change soon. I'd elaborate but there's been some locals looking at my posts.

I understand about the locals, lol.

I shift at 65-6600, with my stock rodbolts. I made 392/362 with the 10bolt, high flow cats. I now have a 9', no cats and a spool so probably about the same as before, maybe a little more like you. Forgot, just got a 3' cutout also.

As for lifting the tires, been doing that pretty consistent each pass since the Strange DA shocks. Last outing it pulled both, looked and felt pretty cool!
