Default FTRA VS. SUX2BU last night

Currently my car has only been a 7.08 (fastest) at 97MPH at this track with about a 1.57-1.58 60' on the footbrake (2500RPMS).

DA was 1023 with the FTRA
DA was 1071 with SUX2BU

These were at the time of each pass.

Being that I was bracket racing the current time I did run 101.3x at a 6.96 on the brakes just a bit. But anyway I gained a SOLID 2-2.5MPH in the 1/8th and a little ET. After a little more changing it should be an even greater gain

I guess, you'd have to do a search. All I know is that there is a BIG price difference if you buy the Chris1313 from Speed INC.

I would like to see too...and would try the sux2bu but I don't want to have to cut the radiator support just for the test...I do know going just by surface area my intake is almost double the size but it could be just overhead and not needed...

I do know z8 added my intake on his 416 over a stock setup...

car would run in the 10.6s at 125mph...

couple weekends he went 10.37 at 131mph...

6mph gain, obviously not typical results...

maybe I will run a test this summer...

kinda sucks for the firebird crowd cause they can't run the sux2bu setup unless they want to ditch their fog lights...

Wow, these are all some very interesting results. Right now I am running consistant 10.7's at 125 NA and I have the FTRA on my car right now. I think I am going to yank it off this week and try either the chrs1313 setup or the sux2bu. Hopefully I get similar gains to these. Almost seems too good to be true. The hard part is going to be deciding who's intake to try.

The Chris1313 RA flat out works!!! I was totally impressed with the setup.I went from a MTI lid to his setup . the car sounds like a damn vacuum cleaner now .It was definetly choked down with the standard style intake on it. Thanks Chris

Well here's another update.

I went to look at the logs from this weekend and ended up looking at my timing and I was running my nitrous tune all motor . No wonder it was showing 11.1AFR from 5800-7200 on the wideband and 24 degrees of timing.

So if it doesn't rain this weekend maybe my gains will be even better. Also bought a 104mm FTP Lid from a member .

You better hope it rains kid or im going to swallow you up with my sucks2bu ram air and spit you out The one weekend i have everything lined out to go to the track and it's going to rain....just my luck!

Throw some timing at it and your ET will start to showing up more with the MPH you gained.

Yeah yeah old man lol. I sure hope so, that 101MPH sure was big for that 7.0x pass. I ran a 6.96 at 98.xx on the brakes and still broke out .009 more than the other guy in the semi's .

Can't believe I put the wrong tune in it . I went back and put the 29* back in it and I need to put the TR6 plugs in too. Then lean it back out from 5800-7200 since it was showing 11.1.

I would have loved to bought the Chris1313, but I couldn't spend $199.99 on it at the time.

I need a K-Member, lower and upper arms, Aerospace brakes, lexan, and whatever else that will get my weight down 3500lbs is killing me!

I'd love to run as fast as a local 10.5 guy. 3500+lbs 632CI and twins running 4.7x's in the 1/8th on his "soft setup".

I just had to show a picture of it
