James, that motor you sold put down 800+ this last weekend with a 300 hit, and had more in it.

Yeah that's what I heard... something like 846rwhp or something like that. Makes me super excited about the new setup coming together cause if that one made that much then it should be a breeze for the new setup to make more!

I really think the officials (not you) need to be fired from that track.

I kinda see where and how it is cool that they let you run without one, but there is a good damn reason to have that cage.

At least for god sakes put a 5 pt. bolt together roll bar like I have in my car with swing out door bars. My car is no harder to get out of than any other car after the bar swings out.

I agree that I need a cage in the car... just never got around to doing it. I drove this car everywhere and even haul my 3yr old in the back seat so the cage was put on the back burner for more streetability. However now it's a different story it's going to get quite a few chassis upgrades before I bring it back out again. It's getting a larger ERL SD1 427 with a 106mm turbo so I should be making a gob more power than I was on the shot in these vids so a 10pt is getting put in before the rest is done. I'll probably go a step further and weld in some cross bars underneith the car and some shock tower bars out to the engine bay.

427 with a 106 and you're only doing a 10 pt?

Yep it's a street car I don't plan on running many class races. If I do run it at a nicer track I'll just dial it back and be easy on it to keep from getting kicked off. It's keeping the 6spd as well although I've got a M12 GTO tranny to use this go around. The way I look at it, a 10pt is better than nothing haha.

very true! Curious why you're going with a M12, i figured you want a shorter gear in first to build boost vice the taller gear in the M12's?

The reason I'm using the M12 gearset is because I'm going to a taller rear ratio as well. The previous setup had trouble in first due to the tall gearing. The shorter gearing won't load the turbo as much but it should motor itself out of the whole with all pro 255 heads and 427 inches.

i suppose a all pro headed 427 wont be THAT lazy out of the hole I cant wait to see it all finished. I wish i could get my car to roll out like yours did with the 403, i got the power, just not the driving skills to get my ET's lower.

What rear gears are you running? Mine was kind of lazy on motor out of the whole. On it's fastest NA pass I pulled a 1.54 60' with the 2step set at 6200rpm. Once it got in it's power and in first gear it would pull on out but launching it usually resulted in bogging or excessive spinning. Really I needed a 4.30 or 4.56 rear gear but was running a 3.89 and had 28" tires too. You have the mph to run the ET for sure!!

4.10s in the rear with 28x11.5 QTPs. I run pretty consistent 1.55s on motor, but on n2o it's all spin, only 5200 on the 2 step na and 4500 on nitrous. I make peak. Power at 6600 so any taller rear gear will have me falling off in power on the big end.

Put a slick on it! That's the only way I could get mine to ET on the jug. I went 10.37@131.7 on MT ET Street 28x11.5 but when I decided to hit it with a 150 shot it only picked up to a 9.9@14x... I swapped on my MT ET Drag 28x10.5 (non-stiff wall) and pulled a 1.39 60' to a 9.66@143 and the following weekend I deleted the .3 second nitrous delay I had in the progressive controller and had it come on full at launch and it spun to a 1.43 60' but still managed 9.64@143. The delay settled the car down but also slowed down a tad. I was launching on spray with the slicks at 6000rpm... I think the taller 3.89 gear helped take some of the torque away as well.
