I'm hoping to have ET Streets the next time out so I can eliminate the spinning. Track elevation is 1,200FT, DA was 1,705FT.

Well, makes me feel better about my times today. Took a bone stock 99 T/A with 114k miles to the track. I ran 9.1 @ 80.39 mph, with a 2.24 60ft, used a DA calculator, and came up with 1,907ft.

Better than mine when it was stock with 75k miles, I ran a 9.2 @78. Someone took pretty good care of that ride.

Quite the opposite actually. When I took the car for a tune up, the mechanic said the plugs and wires were probably original, the plugs were gaped tremendously more than they were supposed to be and the fuel filter dumped what looked like straight black coffee out. Needless to say there was a night and day difference when I got it back tuned up.

And I'm still fighting what I think is a fuel issue somewhere (will know more about it tomorrow hopefully).

I just don't see how people are running 8.5's-8.8's bone stock and full weight. I know I'm heavy but still.

Not bad, yea mine ran 8.5-8.6's stock. It should do a lot better once you get everything performing like it should.

I think the altitude has a lot to do with it. My car ran an 8.81 in the 1/8. 3,440 lb curb weight, 3,630 with me in it, only two mods at the time.

The car should be going to the shop for a complete fuel system checkout this week then to Carolina Auto Masters sometime early May for a tune.

Then by June I'd like to have TSP longtube headers, a TSP O/R Y pipe, a Flowmaster cat-back, and 3.73 or 4.10 gears (with a retune of course). But I figure if I can run 8.5-8.7 with nothing but a K&N filter, the FRA mod, and a tune I will be doing just fine.

I have no doubt with a tire like ET Streets I could cut a 1.8-1.9 60' and run 8.6-8.7's.

We'll see. I should be back to the track with a new fuel pump and Frost tune middle of the month. Same ol' 235 all-season tires though.
