We ran a few new bests today. The biggest reward was putting the stock suspension back in the car as we expected. The air was great but the track was cold and slick.
1.496
6.51@105.40mph
10.18 @ 131.09(on limiter before traps)
1.426
6.42@100.30mph(broke something in the trans on the 3-4 shift before the 1/8)
We were on our way to a good pass here, but that's racing. Despite the hard luck it does confirm to us what the car is capable of.

The 1/8th trap speed was down about 6 mph. The 6.42 should have been between a 6.38 and a 6.40 based on the data. (The 330' was a 4.12)

We are going to try and launch the car. The main issue I see is that the only tire I have that fits will put us up close to 7400 rpms thru traps which I'm not sure I'm willing to do. Maybe once or twice if the 60 is there. So, we'll make a game plan and see what 60 is necessary to stay in it.

3.90's would be a little better gear for it being these things mph so hard when you get them right. 7400 is a bit much but I think you'll be fine at 7200.
Good luck with it and keep us updated!

That's sick guys. What intake are you guys running? I have a fast 102 on mine. My buddy bought a truck intake about a month ago. They look really really nice. It would be a bitch to make it fit in a f-car but would it fit on a vette?
I know you guys messed with a itb set-up.....have you tried it on the ls6?

92 fast
We did run the ITB years ago on the heads/cam setup prior to the high rpm motor in order to learn more about tuning it.
I believe it picked up about 15-17 after tuning but never ran it at the strip.
I never considered the ITB on the stock Ls6 because this setup was an after thought as we have a dyno tuned 10K rpm motor sitting on the floor.

If I could find me a busted lsxr-t truck intake I would cut on that bitch to make it fit under my cowl. The runners inside are almost 2" below the top of the intake. I could cut the top off of it and make a new one for it out of carbon......I think it could work, I just hate to drop $800-900 on a new one to try.
You guys plan on running it some more?

That intake may be worth a try.

I can't speak for vette boy but my bolt-on ls6 camaro still has full interior(does have carbon front seats), ac , cruise, abs, oe style brakes, all seat belts, rear seats, complete monsoon radio, front and rear bumper supports.....it's pretty much complete. I do have a significant amount of weight out of the car, but it's been done in a manner that retains a complete car.
