I never claimed to have a record car. The 10bolt is holding it back from that. Clearly my trap is there. Lemons use to give me lots of ****.

I hope the OP takes OMFG responses as a compliment rather than "you're a

are worth 50 horsepower or 5 mph but the video shows "as stated" a fail of
a good launch. There's 3 tenths ET lost in the first 60 ft. which everyone
knows will translate to a 10.30 or better and at least 133-134mph. At that
potentially projected performance...even 98TA would gasp..."holy "

Can't wait for the car to make a clean pass. That bar is going to be set high! Or is it low?

As for the guy that beats up 5.0's

So his mods are on par , but, you don't think that ls6 heads, cam, more gear, and 6 spd are worth 5 mph more trap speed?

hope you dont catch my car at a light ; )
The reason you probably don't get much help is because of your attitude. Also I don't ricer race at redlights, but, bet you don't want to be beside mine at the track. You would get your silly *** dusted.

Wow. Thanks for responses like this and to everyone who is supportive.

There's alot to clean up in the tune and on the track. I haven't raced in 3 years and will try to get some clean passes in before the new motor goes in.
Then after we're done with et chasing and maybe a few all-motor events, I'm thinking of putting the stock motor back in and running stock eliminator classes.

Now remember... its not a TRICK if it works

Weight reduction
parasitic reduction from the engine and driveline
perfect gearing (trans/rear/tires/rpm)
great tuning
best fuel for your application for every little bit of hp to be pulled 1hp is 1hp
rolling resistance decreased
suspension setup specific to drag racing
clutch/trans setup specific to drag racing
well thought out modifications that compliment each other
great weather
great track, closer to sea level the better
great driving technique (staging, throttle input, clutch input, optimized shift points hit right every time etc)
logging and learning how and where to improve

Most importantly is having fun with friends during it all and LEARNING from EACH PASS!!

DONE end of story... there it all is in black and white. Until you know you've perfected all of the above you didnt go as fast as you can!!!

I'll be disappointed if it doesn't cut a mid 1.3x.
I had a 255 baby drag radial on the car.

Atco, great driving and great air is a big reason why these record cars run hard.

Instead of attacking these guys and calling bs ask them for tips etc and check out the car in PERSON. You would be surprised what you can learn from them.

Shoot around here most Ls6 cars never get a Fast or Tb change or Electric pump or UD pulley before a Cam change. Stock Ls6's have been 118mph so 9mph with Full bolt ons,Suspension,Weight reduction and Gears and a Special Clutch isnt out of order.

so you install an electric water pump and do a few suspension mods and you call yourself a mechanic? i swear you come on here like your an ASE certified master mechanic. gtfo.

when i asked about the mods on the car i was given a link to a BS callout thread???

no worries though...im sure the car is on its way to trapping 140 all motor soon.

not trying to deviate the thread. rant is over. carry on.
Don't be such an ignoramus... You must be extremely jealous or just a hater! Mark (Vettewrench) is no joke. He build my car from the ground up and it's been the fastest 6 speed Corvette since 2009 when it went 9.25 at 153. He did just a bit more than the water pump and suspension and the results should certainly speak for themselves.

PS. The driver of the car is the best 6 speed driver around – bar none…! Just Sayin...!

We had a destroked gm ls7 block in my car and it ran 9.32 and 148 mph in street trim but we never got to dial it in and had some restrictions like the stock computer.
Hopefully I'll get some time this spring with another motor to really test the car.

We have seen our share of breakage over the years. The c5 rear is relatively weak and always an area of concern on the launch. Still waiting for someone to make a 9inch for the vette.

I don't know the exact details, but I believe the guy with the quickest vette with IRS (6.9 1/4mile if memory serves me correctly) has a custom 9" center section
