got some work to do on the tune still.

Removed the carpet yesterday. Going to hook up transbrake this week as well as make a shock and pinion adjustment. Hopefully can get it to go better.

went to 131 last night. Picked up a little more 1/8 mph but not where I want it be still. Not a terrible night. transbrake solenoid was sticking so I foot braked it the rest of the night.

I looked at your hp tuners log in your thread in the tuning section. It looks like the car jumps to the low octane table when you go wot. It was showing 19.5* at wot instead of the 26* that's in you high octane table. I bet you'll gain some mph by copying and pasting your high octane table to your low octane table

Cold start idle is VE and open loop fuel add tables so lean it out there to clean up your plugs. I'd start with VE.

Well ran the car with the craigslist th400.

Went 11.3x
60’ were between 1.5 and 1.6 consistent.

Pulled the pan to change the fluid and filter after couple weekends of racing. Found a ton of metal looks like the rear bushing walked out and got ate up in the trans.

Yanked it out. Ordered a level 4 fti th400 ultra bell with a brake and a new fti converter and fluid.

Took it out out last night and the car would not leave for sh*t. I street drove around a little to get some miles on the trans. Verified the line pressures on first start and had it full of their fluid.

best 60’ was a 1.7x. Didn’t matter if I left off the foot brake or the trans brake. It just didn’t feel like it was putting the power down through 1st. 2nd 3rd felt great, shifts were good. Just wouldn’t leave. That is with a 4000 stall.

Got it to get it unloaded off the trailer and find out what is going. Brand new trans and converter. I was thinking it was going to leave harder but I was wrong.

Car stjll needs help with tune. I finally got some data but the best trap speed was 118. I was thinking for the mods I should be low 120s

more info coming.

Did you fix the timing at wot? Can you upload the logs and current tune?

I will post the logs when I get home. I looked at them and it was showing 26.5-27* at wot.

I’m going to try it again hopefully tonight and see if everything works good. Got to lean it at idle some more.

Running 3.89 ring gear on 28” tire and went to 3900 on the t brake and let go of the button tires didn’t spin and it only cut a 1.7x 60’.
not sure if it’s the transmission or not.

Here is a log from last night. Picked up a mph in the 1/4 but lost some 1/8th mile time.
I need to get the speedo working, some rear suspension and get a little more mph.

setup is ls1 stock block, prc heads, tsunami cam, stock intake, throttle body. th400 to 9" with 3.89 ring gear, 28" tire.

seemed to 60' better on the old th400, going to make a sway bar adjustment and see if that helps.

Timing held great all the way through, but something is going on in the beginning. The engine stayed at 4,000 for 1 full second at half a second into the run before the rpms started to climb again. Did it bog? After that everything looks like it should.

Are you only logging those few parameters? I can upload my config files for the scanner if you'd like (It's on version 4.0). You'll have to go in and add your wideband and whatnot.

Tie into the front wheel sensor from the vss pigtail..... takes 5 minutes.

I think what your seeing in the log is when I got on the transbrake and held at ~4000rpm. It does feel more sluggish on the 60' than with the old converter and trans. but 1/8th mph has increased with new trans and converter.

If you have some ideas or can show me what you log that would be a great help!

Hooked into the front wheel sensor, need to update the tune. haven't done much on it, working on getting an exhaust put on and battery relocated to the trunk.

Thank you for the info Hardtop Brian. That is helping a lot. I have to work this weekend but am going to try and at least run at Onondaga on Saturday afterwork. I got the wideband installed into Hptune and it is logging accurate. Still struggling on getting speedo to work. I have screen shot what I am looking at in HP and can not figure out what ones to change. I changed the final drive ration to the 1.18 but not sure what other value to change.

Also got a lift hooked up in the garage. Threw the camaro up and start fixing the exhaust, getting it tucked up better so its not so low. Ignore the half fella in the background.

Thank you in advance and thank you to everyone who has offered help or suggestions along the way, it has helped a lot!

Took the car out and ran the 1/8th on a 75 shot. Having converter issues and voltage issues. Car went lean on last pull, looked at the logs and the voltage dropped down to 9.50 volts by 5800rpm. Does not look like the alternator is charging the battery. Not sure if has to do with the battery relocation, going to look into it tomorrow when I pull the car in the shop and pull the trans.

Did go 6.95 @ 99.40mph in the 1/8th not terrible but I feel like its got a lot more in it.

Nice work Jfab, sounds like it's coming along nicely. Pretty sweet workspace you have there too. I'm almost positive that rack of aresol cans alone is worth more than my garage

Got the low voltage issue figured out. Swapped truck alternator in and upgrade the alternator wiring to 1 gauge.

Rewired a few grounds and everything appears to be good now.

Finally got the speedo working. Hp makes it super easy I was looking in the completely wrong area. Having a blonde moment. Found where to make the adjustment and boom it was reading on the dash.

Tried to run on Saturday got about half way there and they canceled. Didn’t think they could get the track dry enough. Plan is to attempt to go next Saturday and see how the car does. After that game plan is to pull the trans and send the converter out to get tightened up. Narrow the rear and 2-3” per side. Mini tub. Cage. K member control arms. Coilovers. Intake throttle body setup.

Shooting for 10s on motor and 9s on the bottle until I get a turbo motor put together.

Pictures to come.

Good stuff! Feels good to get things figured out. I'm headed to Milan this Saturday also. I'll make a pass on motor, then a 150 shot, and then a 175 shot and call it a year if the car doesn't break lol. Hoping to go 10.50 or better.

Took the car out on Saturday. Ran pretty good. Best I threw at it was a 100shot and it went 10.57 @ 127.37mph. Pretty pumped to get it into the 10s! Threw the 125 jets in it but didn’t have a way to warm the bottle up and had no pressure. Car ran good on motor. 11.5 on motor spinning on the hit 1.7x 60’.
On the 75 shot it went 10.82. Then my best pass was on the 100 shot.

still a heavy girl though. Weighing in at 3340 with me in it. I’m 160lbs. Goal is to get it around 3100 with me in it so I got a lot of weight reduction to do. Going to get some more engine performance parts this winter.

video of the 10.5 pass.

Ill keep everyone updated.

Looks like 131. Congrats! I would have had a 10.5x myself if i didnt spin. Ended up with a 10.70 @ 128. I did get 11.14 @ 119.5 on motor. Pretty pumped about that. What are the winter plans?
