Default 00' 6spd Z28 228/230 Jegs Cam Bolt on 1/4 mile

Just to get away for a night, I went out to Royal Purple Raceway to make some passes. Royal Purple fills with complete dipshits about 9:30-10:00 so I only made three passes and then rolled out.

The car is full weight with a 10" sub and amp. 3440lbs. I weighed it on the way home on a CAT scale.
The rear is a Pyle Brothers built 9" with a Strange 3.90:1 posi and Moser axles.
The rest is simple bolt ons that we got here and there. I apologize to all the guys that are going to start in on the "you could be faster if", but it is what it is.

Thanks. It just seems to stick with me for some reason. It is where I got started in the LS think.

I didn't look. Usually I try to but what you get off the interwebs isn't usually very accurate and I did not have a weather station. I was really there just to bang some gears.

Ok. I have the same cam on 112 lsa and self ported 799s. Hoping to trap 120-121 at 3300lb rw, but saw low mph and was curious about the DA.

Yep I see 6-speed in the title now. Missed it before. MPH is a bit low no doubt, but if conditions were bad that could explain a good bit of it

Always good to take some time and hit the track for a mini vacation.

You got better 60' every pass. Keep going man. Don't pay attention to the lights just focus on good launch and hit your shifts. Goodluck

I can snap one tomorrow but it is just the factory RS spoiler. I don't like them but it is not a car I really spend money on any more.

Yes, with LS7 clutch. The too tall tires also make it poopy but they are left overs from another build. The car just barely gets into 4th gear. I will eventually throw on some much shorter tires and give it another go but my race car is almost ready so it will probably be a while before I go out just for the hell of it with this car. It may even be an auto by then if I can find the time.

The better 60' each pass was from turning up the 2 step each time. I usually cut some pretty consistent low lights. I have been bracket racing for a long time but have been lacking the last couple of years for building the family a new crib. If I had a good clutch I would be dumping the clutch @ 5500.

The 9" is fine. I have had several of them in several applications. The Moser axles suck. The register isn't long enough to engage the wheel hub.

The sway bar is gone. The jack and tire are there.

Hey Cody,

You mentioned a CAT scale is this at the track? I'd like to know what my car weighs after the mods. I too could shed a few pounds these cars aren't the easiest to climb in and out of anymore.

There is a scale at Royal Purple but it was jacked up. There are Cat certified scales at almost all Loves stations it is $11 to weigh whatever you want and it's open 24/7. I weighed just about everything I have from my haul trailer to my 1/2 ton daily.
