Default Hit 183mph in the traps!

Not 1/4 mile, but the standing mile.

Had an absolute blast running the Texas Mile yesterday. Had a best trap speed of 183.092mph. I will post video soon. I had one of the faster F-bodies out there, but my buddy Kurt Decker (98Aggie) was on his way to a 185+mph run when his motor let go right after the 3/4 mile mark.

Kurt, we'll get a bigger stronger bullet in your car, then mine will be next!

Here's the video:

Yes, I sprayed a 150 dry shot in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear to get the 183mph. My best trap speed on motor was 170.3 mph. My finish line rpm was 6350 on motor and 6828 on the spray. Not bad for heads and cam in pure street trim.

ROTFLMAO! Oh yeah, that was awesome. I did a road race against about 20 Porshes a few years ago and lapped the field. They had no idea I was spraying on the straights, LOL. The picture from that race is in my avatar. I cooked my brakes pretty good at that road race, but asking your brakes to stop multiple times from triple the speed limit is pretty hard on them too. I think I'm going to do a little brake maintenance today!

Hey Patrick I can hook you up on some nice dimpled and slotted rotors with some cermaic pads. Got some MT ET street radials and BFgoodwrinch KDW's too, only 20 miles on them.

Haven't pulled the head, at furst I thought I blew a head gasket, but then I pulled # 1 plug an it was gone and had metal embeded in it. I have no water in the oil and no oil in the radiator. So I am assuming I shattered some pistons. I guess you can only push a stock bottom end so far, and I found it's limit.

I'm sure I'll post pics once I tear it apart in the coming weeks.
