Default so close to 12's

went to the ColumbusRacing.com track day at Norwalk Raceway today. im very pleased with my results, but not enough. im in the left lane

anyways, this is my fastest ET. i had a faster MPH of 110.70 but that was with a 13.14 ET. im on otherwise bald BFG GForce Sport T/A street tires. i let the pressure down to 28psi and did a small dry hop to get the **** off of them and heat them up some. it was around 85* and not too humid. (sorry, i dont know exacts). anyways, the track wouldnt hook for ****. even the 9 second cars were having trouble hitting low 10's. im still on my LS1 intake but i have an LS6 sitting in my garage. my goal was to hit 12's still on my LS1 intake, but idk if that will happen. after this pass, my runs got progressivly slower, im sure the car was getting hot and i know the clutch fluid was getting hot and it wasent holding totally. on the drive up i ran it to just a hair less than 1/4 tank, then when i got there, dumped 5 gallons of 110 in her. later i put around 3 gallons of 112 in it cause i was running low. i made a total of 17 runs down the 1/4 at ColumbusRacing.com track day at Norwalk.

EDIT: this is the run where i ran damn near 111MPH im car 34. the car in the right lane was a C5 Z06.

You need traction for sure. There's no sense in swapping intakes or trying to make any more power if you aren't putting what you have to the ground.

I'm surprised no one else said anything, but running race gas isn't going to help you gain anything. The only thing you'll gain is a new set of O2 sensors if you're running leaded race gas cause it wont take long to destroy them.

(stock 98's also)

I did it on my car making probably 30 passes in one day... it doesn't hurt anything, its just a lot faster.
For clarification, I take my foot off the gas... not keeping it pegged while shifting

Agreed. In fact, stock compression cars will have a hard time burning octanes that high so it probably cost you some et besides a bunch of unnecessary $$$.
