Default time for a roll cage

went to track, 3rd time ever last night, ran 2 runs. got booted on the second one. car is 07 Z06. mods are CAI, LG headers, Borla cat-back, tuning, DRs. temp was 82, humidity horrendous, at Texas Motorplex in Ennis.

results are shown on slip (i'm #378, the SC stang from the video is #381), my friend ( ) recorded my first run 11.79, but forgot to turn on camcorder for my second run. i posted the 11.79 run here.

Way to go man !!! Imagine what she'll do with a built rearend and some tires that hook even better. High 10's for sure. Then with the cam you'll be in the low 10's, and only a spray away from 9's. You are doing great at the track. I wish you the best of luck bro. Gotta love those LG Pro longtubes....

Same thoughts here, especially on the cage versus a bar. Are you planning for single digit times? If not I can't see dropping a cage in there when a 5-point bar will be easier to live with.

Good job!

hmm.. i guess i didn't know there was a difference. i talked to LG Motorsports and they can put in a 6 point cage (bar?). it has pins where you can remove the side bars while street driving. that will be good till 10.00 correct? what do i need if i hit the single digits? i don't see myself getting in the 9s with that car, i wanna keep the warranty a little while longer, and i'd probably have to go in the engine to get in the 9s.

A 6-point bar would be good to 10.00, and it can have swing outs for easier entry/exit, plus can be removed for daily driving if you wanted. A cage involves a lot more, so if you don't see that happening anytime soon, do the bar route for now.

Well, that's what I was talking about. Roll bar/cage.

I just had a roll bar put in my car w/ the swingouts. But, I don't own a C6Z06 either.

Did you smoke the tires up enough? I also suggest the roll bar instead of a cage
