I remember back when you had the heads/cam record for a while. I think I still have the video. Didn't you go 10.3 @ 129 or something? Everyone wanted to know what cam you were using but you wouldn't spill the beans. If I remember right you had ported LS6 heads. Just out of curiosity can you now tell us what cam you used?
Or am I misremembering?

That was a very docile set up compared to what we've got available to us now. You can run well into the 9's with H/C especially with a compression bump. Heck, my GTO cam in its H/C motor is much bigger than that and is a daily driver: LPE GT1-1: 229/242 at 0.050, 0.631/0.631, 114 LSA.
Take care. Dave

It went a best of 10.47 at 129 with, once again, a less efficient setup as now. The cam specs and all other stuff was in the HOT ROD issue from April 2004: LPE 218/299 at 0.050, 0.560"/0.560", 113 LSA.

Good job Dave I wish I was there instead of here getting a workout with a snowblower that keeps tossing the right tirechain off .
Less efficient must be an understatement since I took that same motor and went just a tick faster with it in my H/C 6 speed Camaro that weighs about 300 pounds more. You should be running a manual trans, they're more fun and they dont slip so bad in the lights
Good luck with the new numbers at RedRiver, hopefully gas prices go down.

Wow, amazing what these engines will do! Big congrats!
PSJ,
Your Raughhammer comment makes me think back to the days of GeorgeC trying to 9's all motor 382 and look where we are today....

Congrats on the record.
Your car is launching awesome, looks like you really have it dailed in.
What TQ arm and fornt and rear shock and spring are you running.
Yea, throw a cam in it and go for the cam only record now.
