Default 8.78 @ 155.90 1.34, radials, N20

Made two passes tonight at cecil county.

First pass off the trailer 5.71 @ 123.xx 1.38.

Changed the tune up, ran it out the back door:

1.348 60'
3.667
5.636 @ 124.87 1/8 mile
7.337 1000'
8.781 @ 155.90

Loaded it up and went home....between 12 hour workdays and staying up all night working on this car, I was exhausted.

I think there is a 5.4-5.5 1/8 mile in it. I brought in the direct port a little later and have a little left in the tune up. I either stand it up or smoke the radials, but now I think I've got it working.

The setup is an iron 402 with TEA heads, Fast Intake, NX direct port, Nitro Daves Plate. I've minitubbed the car and added a 10 pt roll cage to it.

Congrats Conrad, not bad for first real hits at all. How much more timing did you give it from the conservative stuff we had on the dyno? Im guessing youve got another 2 or so in it?

Need to get that damned FAST off there and put a real intake on it and let her turn 8K like it posed to!

The tune up changed A LOT.

another degree or two....

It was the fuel curve that was way fat. I think I got that handled now lol

Thanks!

I think the coolest part about the motor is that, other than the "raised runner" AFR heads by TEA, it's nothing high tech. The direct port is only a two solenoid system, and it runs a regular 90mm throttle body with a Nitro Daves plate.

If I can shave off a tenth in the 1/8, I'll be happy as hell.

I was thinking about building a turbo setup for next year, but I'm having fun with the nitrous stuff so I might just take it to the next level and stay with N20.

That might be a possibility - it just depends on work. I usually can only race on Wednesdays and Sundays......sounds like fun though!!
