Default camaro vs dodge ram vs gsxr 600

No this isn't any show down between the three, but it is all 1/4 mile times i have achieved with the three this year.

1988 dodge ram 4x4 440 BB lifted
2.18 60' 15.71@84

2000 camaro z28
1.59 60' 11.61@116

2008 gsxr 600-stock-
1.78 60' 10.93@123

I can't decided which one i want to make faster next. The truck is the slowest now and could use a good cam over the stock 78 440 specs. I would really like for my car to run lower 11's. And i would also like my bike to have more power as well....

...guess i'll just play it out one pay check at a time and work OT for the extra cash.

Yea, its hard to bet that classic muscle sound from a big block with headers. I just wish it ran a little better. I'm sure a good cam will wake it up. It still has the stock 78 truck cam witch was the smallest available 440 cam. Somewhere around .425 lift in. and ex. That isn't even near enough for a 346 engine let alone a 440 with headers. the voodoo cam i am looking at only cost $150 so that may be my next move....14's?

For as cheap as you could hop up the truck I'd atleast find a good holley carb, aluminum intake, cam/springs. You would gain a lot from that for probably under $500. After you get that out of the way I'd work on your car. The best gains you can get from your bike are going to be from practice and maybe a clutch. Theres not a lot you can really gain on sportbikes, exhaust sometimes you lose power but thats not cheap. Power commander not really cheap either, not much gain. I guess you could put a small shot of nitrous on it. Unless you go wild with a turbo or something you will see the most gains from practicing your launch. The cheapest mod to make your bike alot faster is to sell it and buy a liter bike. It sucks but its the truth. You can put a bunch of money into a 600 and still not be as fast as a 1k. It's all just my opinion of course and do whatever you want lol.

Edit: Just watched your video and you already have an aluminum intake. Not sure if that was a holley carb or not but you should atleast put an 850 on it. I like the truck I'd mod that first. Your camaro is already fast.

Yeah i hear you on the bike reason. the truck has a 750 edelbrock that could be replaced with a 850 and a good cam. I love the way my bike rides and i love how powerful my car is, and i still want to hit 10's in the camaro. but as a combo the truck is lacking the time. I've seen stock hemi dodges go 15.3 and the same goes for the tundras and silverados, not to mention some of the diesels weighin 7,000lbs that run 13's. I think my truck just lacks the intake & fuel flow technology that the newer trucks have. I want the truck to hold its own against the newer ones, and when i go to the track i don't want to feel like i'm wasting space by running slow times.

Nope, i am 150. yeah the 60' was there. I was hole shotin people who had longer swing arms. also the air was pretty humid so maybe that was why it trapped low.

I may go this friday since the weather will be a lot cooler with the bike.

Build the bike. They are a lot more fun than cars.

I really wouldn't bother with the truck, it is a dd/beater not a race car.

The only thing I would do for your bike is sprockets and maybe a slipon. Sprockets will be the cheapest and they will make it the most fun out of anything but make sure you get a speedohealer. They will help your 1/4s some, but not that much from what I've experienced... however they do make street riding 100x more enjoyable. And get a slipon just for some sound, the stock GSXR exhaust is wayyy too quiet IMO.

I've done all of the boltons to my 600 and none of them really made it faster. I do 10.7s@125 on my K6 600 @2500+DA. I'm about 150lbs also.

I did all of that, then hopped on my friends stock K6 1000, and I was shocked at the difference
