They're good for 2 years per NHRA from the date that they are manufactured, after that some can me recertified, others have to be restrapped, some have to just be replaced it depends who the manufacturer is.

Like JLws-6 said, it is 2 years for NHRA.

If you have RJS harnesses, it was $50 shipped to have mine recert last time.

I have 2 simpson seatbelts that expire this month, one was in the passenger's seat, never even strapped a person in with them, drivers side is like new, but unfortunately it's got to go it's out of date.

I was gonna try to send the one that's literally never been used back and see if they would recertify it, I need to call them and see if they will even do it.... if not, they're both gonna end up getting given away, or sold for about 30 bucks because once they're expired, they're really no good to anyone going to the track.

Be sure to avoid Route 66! They watch all of those certification dates quite closely.

Byron and 41 are pretty relaxed, while I am unsure how Da Grove is these days.

My drivers side belt needs to be replaced aas of this month, it was made november 2006, so at the end of this month I'm done with them.

I'm not buying the new ones until a week, maybe 2 before my first trip out when I get it back out, that I am sure of LOL

Answer to this question is here per the NHRA rulebook: www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=880990

-5 point harness (up to date, they must be replaced or re-certified every 2 years).

Some tracks will check, some won't. You can re-cert every 2 years by shipping the belts to the manufacturer, or buy new ones. I buy new ones at $70 and sell the old ones on EBay (street racers and dune buggys buy 'em).
