Rear anti rollbar/drag sway bar...

Thanks, Jon... I thought that was how it worked but I wanted to be sure. Pics are great, but they don't tell everything.

I have the Spohn bar and absolutely hate it. I warn everybody to not get it because of the shock clearance problem, ecsp. if you are going to run a double adjustable rear shock. We had to grind, make special brackets etc. to get it to work. Pain in the butt.
If you want a sway bar the UMI looks nice, BMR, or the midwest setup. For a track car, I will be going to the Wolfe here pretty soon. The spohn is just a headache.

I have a BMR and it's the ****...... The BMR Xtreme duty drag swaybar is way overkill but i guarantee you will NEVER hurt or bend it....
keeps my car nice and flat. Minor shock clearance issue depending on where you weld it up but it's so minute it clearances itself.

I used to have the wolfe on my car as well and I loved it.... Only thing is for a street car it hangs pretty low and my wife basically destroyed one side of it going over a speed bump..... Once it was broken it had to be cut off there and replaced at almost the same cost at a new BMR setup. so i went BMR and never looked back.

I agree with you that Spohn should redesign there bar BUT,You are blaming the wrong people. Spohn designed that bar off a stock 10 bolt. The distance between the shock mounts on a 10 bolt are consistant. The aftermarket seems to have difficulty with this measurement. I've had 12 bolts that were 2"-3" tighter then stock.

You may be right, I never even thought about that. But, if they would have just made the bend in the beginning it would have solved the problem for all rearends and never been a problem in the first place, but such as life. Thats the aftermarket world, once you start putting different pieces from different manufactures on the car you have to customize some of the stuff to fit right.

I'm familiar with the BMR as well as many others but the UMI bar I've never heard of until now. I'll have to check it out.
