I flipped mine upside down on a couple fold out stands and went to town cutting off the lip. you COULD put spacers in between the two brackets on the side rails to allow the hood to fit with the lip, but I decided *** it, and cut it off. def made it a lil more flimsy, but it was easy. metabo with a cut off wheel got it close, then a flapper wheel made it perfectly flush and a nice finish. be prepared for mess though.

btw - measuring all the holes was WAY easier than expected.....I was able to get to the sides since my motor is out, but the front 4 I had to measure and I had it done, and cut out in less than 15 min. it's more intimidating than anything.

racecraft rails F T W!!

The measuring for the holes thing is what I'm worried about. I don't want to **** it up. My motor and everything is in, so I can't do it from the underside.

I want to put a pin on hood on my mustang next year. It has a bolt on 3" vfn that I recently painted. It looks good to but I like the looks of it going back to the windsheild and shaving a few more lbs off the nose with a pin on.
