depends on tires, but your cam only and want to go fast I see.
havn't looked up 26 in a while but on 28s I would like to run more. 4:30s and the tallest I would go for going fast. I could spray the car with them and still go 135, I guess that would make them good. depends on your rearend too you might have to change carrier to go 4;56 and shorter

The MT DR's on a 6SP. take some seat time. I go LOW consistant 1.50's; but with some new suspension changes i'm looking for 1.4x; need to add this MWC Drag bar as well.

Also cam only here.
whats size tire and rim are you useing?

I really think the 275/16s M&H DR I had are better on the stock rim. The never spun on the street once the car was moving. Same thing how a nitto is better on the street but suck at the track. The M&H were still great at the track. But the 285/16s MT I think I just to big for the stock rim, and not be bulged. They spin easier on the street.

You need to get a GTO geared tranny, the M12..... and watch what it does to your track times.

Look up the ratio's, that along with a set of 4.56's.... you're golden for another .2 and probably a mph.

it was on a 275/60r15 on BS SL wheels. My stock 10 bolt is toast. Looks like 9" with 4.30 gears soon. So going to 3.42 to 4.30's should wake it up

chris runs 275/50 on BS SL wheels

2nd gear is terrible in the gto transmission. You have to shift about 2 seconds after you get into 2nd. Goes from 6600 to right around 6000 from what I remember on my friends gto log. They are probably ok for slower cars though.

ya, one of the faster 6speed guys was telling me about it. At 1st you see the 1st ratio and think it would be faster. Isn't it the GTO and SSR have the MN12 ? Or whatever?? but the rest of the spacing is worst, it messes with the engine recovery. More important
on a NA car. he went back.

3rd gear to 4th is also terrible. Around 1800-2000 rpm drop.

not sure what I'd gain going to 4:56s over the 4:30s. anyone know that????
I think I can do 4:88s and take the motor to 7200, I havn't ran the numbers on that, But I took it to 7200 on the dyno with a big cam checking for valve float. Its not building power up there, But on the track the car should accelerate faster to that, and should 60 better . no?

Have you tried it?

I have a guy that literally did nothing else, went from 12.0 to 12.1 strait to 11.8 11.7

No other changes to the car other then the tranny. He didn't like the gear spacing for street racing, but at the track it worked killer.

Don't knock it until you've tried it.

This. No need to try it when other people have, and ditched it......

this keyboard is pile or crap, got a beer spilled into it. no shift and the non letter keys, so this might be harder to read then my normal crap

me and shockwave went to the track last night, saw a lot of ls1 cars, i'll see if anyone got any pics of vidoes. got a new best on the stock wheels/drs. i would like to run 10's on the everyday street setup, i know it would right now in the fall but been getting a little faster all the time. i remebed when i ran 11.25 to 11.18 for a long time on the drag wheels, now its faster on the street wheels. i havnt done much just the mt dr's, the clutch is slipping but thats helping me on the drs 2step at 6500 pulls both tires dosn't

1st pass wasn't that good, heard it pulled the wheels a bunch, and bonced a little. i think that shows up on the slip, the 60' and 330' were kinda weird. pulled 2nd and could fell the clutch slipping. i orded a new ram disk from shawn at newera great price it came in the other day, ill post up how it looks, got to get it ready for the shootout coming up. i'm gessing its just worn thin, hoping i can just change the disk. still drive fine. havnt noticed it slip on the street ever, on the way home chirped 2nd and 3rd messing around., ok here 1st pass

tighened the shocks a click, went down a psi in the drs. let the clutch sit for 2hours, ate watched some fast cars, ran this

new best everything, i'd like to see a vid the car felt great. knew the 60's was good.
dont think it spun, was going to turn it up more and hit the tire harder. found out the 2step was already at 6500, haha so let it sit as long as i could stand it and before they closed, witch was only 40mins and went back up to empty lanes and a cold track at 10:15
