Default Decided to scrap the QTPs and switch to a 26"/4.30 combo

My car ran really good last year on the 4.71/28" combo so I did some math and it works out to be nearly identical effective ratio as a 4.30/26" combo. so today I ordered a set of ET Drags which I've been told by a few people are much better than the Hoosier Daddies I have been running lately (both the slicks and QTPs I have run over the last year or so)

I know I'll be losing some sidewall but I'll also be reducing rolling weight...so I'll see how it all works out

anyone else running the 4.30/26" combination?

When I had my M6 I had 26"x11.5" ET Streets with 4.30s I had to shift to 5th in the 1/4 with a 6600 rpm shift point. I quickly changed to 28", I liked the 4.30 with the 28"x11.5" much better.

I could wind out 4th through the traps.

Brian I like that combo,I know I have an ato but my 4.10/26 setup is awsome with the ET Drags and they hook like glue.

Good luck with the setup...

4.56 with 28X9 et drags is a good combo. Supposedly this size grows pretty good on the topend. Allowing more gear for a better launch. Plus the taller sidewall helps traction.

Cool Brian, good luck with the swap. I would have just purchased a some 28x10.5x15 ET Drags and left your 4.71s though.

I wasn't the biggest fan of how close the tires were to the edges of the wheelwell with the 28's

Besides...I'm too lasy to pull the rear apart again to put the 71s back in :p
