40 hp? lol, I wish, but not hardly. just making use of the power we got to work with. We were locking the converter this time, changed the ride height, rear shock extension, front travel limiters and launch rpm.

Time to move to a 9" and 3 speed trans now with a trans brake. I've gone as far as I can with the 4l60e.

Locking the converter makes since of the MPH increase. It is like picking up HP. My car picked up 43 HP on the dyno locked vs unlocked.

Congrats you car is very impressive! Hell I'm barely running faster with a cam. I'm sure you will be in the 10's soon enough.

Thanks. yea locking the converter had a bigger effect on mph then i thought it would. Of course were talking about 2 different tracks as well so there may be a little bit in there as well.

new trans and rear should help even more.

What RPM did you lock the converter in 3rd? I was going to start trying this in my 4l60e before it died. Just curious as I don't have a lockup tranny anymore.

So you're trapping 124 in a stock internal auto...... That's ****** sick dude. Should be close to the quickest SI once you run it in some better conditions, congrats on the new results

after looking at the list I think I have the fastest (as in mph, not ET) SI car. Im 4th quickest right now. It would be cool to get second. RUQWIKR is a bad dude, not sure I can get a 10.68 out of it at his weight that he ran.

Yeah that bird is quick, but with that speed in those conditions it just seems like a matter of time.

Robie, I finally cut the lip off my hood. I was getting it to fit with the racecraft rails. what a waist of time, and it was going to not be as nice. thanks for that info, I should have listed to you at 1st, lol

Heres the corner of the hood your talking about. I made it out of either .050 or .060 aluminum. Once I got the top part to fit the opening from fender to winshield, I then welded a 1.5" or so lip on the side that bolts to the fender. Im surprised nobody makes these but at the same time, they almost have to be built for each car because the fenders are in different places from one car to the next. The drivers side is 1/4" shorter so trying to do a one size fits all would be tough. Anyway heres a pic. Hope this helps.

Robbie your car is bad ***! congrats. I have the same hood on my car and i dont like the corners either. How much would you charge me to make some of these ? Just show me where to measure ... please, lol.

I realy need the car to do it. There was a difference of about a 1/4" from the driver side to the passenger side due to the fenders being in different spots. To make it look good you realy have to build them to fit the car. Thanks for the compliments. Yours looks good too!

We got some new parts coming in for the camaro to get some more out of her. I need these bogarts sold so i can buy the new wheels for it. Sucks they wont work on the new combination. I love these wheels.
