Default cage question

so i have the dash removed for the cage install just waiting for my welder to return from florida. anybody have pictures or could get me some pictures of where it goes through the dash. it looks lik the fuse box is goin to be in the way? and id lik to see where it goes through on the passenger side. thanks in advance

i searched didnt come up with much at all went on some sites looked at pics and still cant tell if the fuse box is in the way.

unless you go way forward with the front runners i think the fuse box will get in the way.just put them as far forward as you can and possibly even notch out some of that front metal under the dash

just curious did u go with chromoly or mild steel ?

The driver side all the wolf cages have to be notched. so that is in front of the fuse panal . The bar will go thru in front of edge of the dash .

agreed...notch the metal, save the fuse box, and use 1 5/8 cro-mo. set it far enough forward that you don't have to cope the dash itself, only the plastic top.

here is a couple of pics.

i have the front down bars about 1" from the firewall and i still have the factory fusebox.

unfortunatly i went mild steel didnt have the money to go chromoly and definatly didnt have money for a custom. so i bought the ms kit and a friend of ours whose a welder is gonna put it in.

nothing wrong with mild steel! thats what my cage is.

if you can find the money? you can always change your kit cage a little to make it work for you.
