Full weight and a nice 1.5 will get you somewhere in the 12.1-2's@110 I'd say. 5500 shift points hurt your times a lot, need to be around 6g as someone noted. I would work on some suspension stuff, and learn your converter (how it likes to be launched) before I'd start ripping a ton of weight or changing other parts.

I have that converter and my times were about yours. 12.37@ 107mph. I know my mph is low, but I think I have valve float. My shiftpoints were at 6200 before the stall but once I got the trans tuned and datalogged it, the power curve just leveled off after 5800 rpm. That combined with the low mph, I'm convinced I have valve float...car also has 103K on the clock. So my shift points are now set at 5800rpm. Since those times and that tune, I have taken some weight out of the car and I have 241 heads and good valves to put on. If I'm not in the 11s my car will be on fire!
