Default QA1s vs Strange single adjustable rear shocks

I have the QA1s now and traction is pretty good.. is it worth it to switch over to the Strange S5270s? Any benefit? Thanks

I run competition engineering 3 ways in the back, car hooks great even on a 275 radial. However its not the only suspension mod that I have, but it works well with everything else.

If the QA1's are in good working order (no oil leaks etc.) you will probably not see much of a gain if any by going to the Strange units.

I do agree that the Strange units are a better shock over all....

I have the Stranges on my car front and rear. It took a little bit of track time to get them figured out, but the car is a consistent 1.43-.44 in the 60ft. I had the Comp 3 ways before and I picked up about .10 on my 60 when I changed.

Since they are adjustable you can set them for the street and then change them for the track. Granite my cars not a DD, but when its sunny im always in it. I just stiffen the fronts up some on the street and everything is good.

What are you shocks set at all 4 corners when you cut your best 60's?? Just curious...

I have the Strange single adjustables up front and the 3 ways in the rear and cut 1.47-1.50 60's depending upon the weather with a stock torque arm. I highly recommend any strange product!!

Both fronts are at 0 and the rears at 5 or 6. The car leaves perfectly square every launch. If the track allows it I can stiffen the rears up some more.

I usually run them at 6 on the street. I dont do any sort launching on the street so i just stiffen them up some. The springs are afcos on the front and stockers on the rear.

In my opinion, it's a toss up. If the car is hooking, the Strange isn't going to be worth the cost. Just keep them in mind when it comes time for new shocks.
