Default proper mounting of 5 point harness

anyone know what the regulations are for mounting the 5 point harnesses? also where and what to use to mount them? I just need to double check before mounting them

Did you buy bolt-in or wrapped?

In my case, I bolted the hip straps to the stock seatbelt mounting points on the floor
then wrapped the shoulder straps around the rollbar using the provided brackets.
My submarine belt wrapped around a mount I bought from Wolfe.

did mine the same except the crouch strap. I used the bracket the belts came with, 1/2 bolt and drilled a hole in the floor with a 2" sq 1/8 thick plate under the bottom of the floor.

the belt is a gforce latch n lock non wrap around and it recomends that it pulls straight and not angled wich was my worry about using the stock bolts/ mounting points

thats why i did mine the way i did, i didnt like the huge angle the right side lap belt was if it was bolted straight to the stock mounting point on the floor. -tony-

I would also like dimensions, maybe a better pic as I also do not like the angle of the right side using the factory bolt location

i use 1/4 thick metal, prob a lil overkill but its fine.and i just cut a piece of plate that you would use for a rollcage and welded that to the floor then welded this on top of it.

chvypwr31 has them mounted how most NHRA techs would like to see them. Reasoning is if you got in an accident and the belts pulled tight, the tabs won't bend like that. But if you mounted them flat to the floor, they could bend 90 degrees.
