John its possible to get under 2900 with stock brakes. our 2000 ss was 2865 with factory brakes on all four corners and I didn't cut a single thing off the car.

A lot of time and money was spent on the rest of the car to get it to that point though.

search for 11.03 stock internal pics. Theres an old thread on it buried in the drag racing tech section. thats how it was at 2865 w/o driver.

the car looks nothing like that now. its getting a 25.3 cage and a bunch of other stuff.

Depends on what you consider a "real street car"..

My last white TA I drove EVERY day rain or shine.. I had it to high 29XX without spending any money (less drag lites) and not being a completely gutted drag car.
With it appearing to not have a lot taken out (cloth rear seats and what not) and not spending money (less rims) you are looking at about 31XX..

There is most definetly a point where you just stall out on being able to remove things without spending money. I've take 322 lbs out of mine without spending any money and have probably another 75-100 lbs that will take some work and cost of some materials. Beyond that you need to start spending a lot of money. I still have AC, PS, stock front seats, complete interior, carpet and technically an iron LT1, 4L60 though. With an aluminum block, TH350, and 8 inch converter that should shed another 140ish lbs, but that is big time money.

I have my 95 estimated down to right around 2675 if I remember correctly off of the top of my head. It pretty much comes down to drag brakes, light wheels, Speedglass front, rear, aluminum block, light weight TH350 or TH200, and a lot of chopping. It'll get done eventually.

What you really mean to say is..., ""

I threw an OEM camaro door away last night and it took some major effort. It didn't have any of the glass, regulator, or motor parts in it either.

Does anybody have any pics of these cars sub 2800lbs with the driver and or a list of parts? I added up some of the parts bought and removed but it still doesn't add up.

Does IHRA top sportsman racer Steve Pym count. His car is full Moly chassis and carbon body. Tips the scale at 1785LBS with him in it, and requires over 200LBS to meet class min

I'm at 3275RW. I guess I dont have to worry about making weight after a pass lol. That means it weighs 3120 without me. Thats with a 10pt cage, chute, iron block, etc. I'm pretty much out of options without swiss cheesing it. I still have stock glass, power windows and door bars, and thats pretty much it.
