if you guys just ditch the electrical all of it in the car and get a painless 18 circuit harness you will drop about fifty pounds and have all new wire very easy to hook up

^ That about covers it. Wiring diagrams help out as well so you can see if some wires are connected to other things. An example of that would be the power seat wiring and the rear defroster.

I did mine in the street car and lost at least 50-60 lbs of wires, connectors, relays etc. i just started at a plug i did not need and traced it back. depinned and removed the relay and all its signal, hots, grounds etc if possible. also you will find gm must of had alot of wire to get rid of because the splicing and routing is kinda dumb on some of the stuff. I did it with the engine and interior out and all the loom off but the harness somewhat in place to keep track. took me a day or so.

On the race car we got a arc 12 curcuit touch panel and relay board. shipping wieght was less than 7 lbs. and we cut most of that out. still have lights , signals, etc. we also moved everything insode the firewall that was possible and converted to manual wind up windows.

What all can I lose under the dash? I know I can lose what ever I want but id like to keep the cluster working other then air bags and id like to keep power windows and locks and some of the light (mirror)

like the bcm what all does that control it has a ton of wires coming from it so does the fire wall over on the passenger side

The EBCM is actually in the engine bay screw to the bottom of the ABS controller.
I'll get a pic of the plug that goes to the EBCM. I don't have the EBCM, sold it a long time ago.

On the dark green with white strip speed It splits in to 3 wires right? if so is one of those wires hooked up with the radio harness for when you reach higher speeds it turns up by its self?
