Default What brand gear should I go with?

I wanted to see what you drag racers run name brand wise in your rearends. I am going to be replacing my 3.90 rearend gears in my moser 9" with some 4.56 gears and was wondering what brand gear I should go with. Whine is not really an issue. Im looking for a strong gear that wont break after a really hard launch. I know setup is 90% of the strength and noise factor but I still wanna know which gear is a good solid gear. I was thinking the Motive Performance gear but wasnt sure.... Let me know what yall run. This is a decent horsepower car and is not a DD. Thanks for the help guys.

Local guy (ex-racer) built mine. Break in was: "Fill her up and beat the hell out of it. If it ever makes noise or breaks, bring it back and I'll make you a new one while you wait."

Find someone like that. Been perfect so far.

Richmonds are noisy as f*ck, I do not care how well they are set up. BUT I will say when you race a car some noise always develop.

I forgot to mention. I have been using US gears for years, no issues.

+1 for Richmond. Mine are noisy as hell between 65-75mph, but they take 7000rpm clutch dumps in a 3900lb car like a champ! I trashed a Motive Performance ring/pinion before I went with Richmonds. They were dead silent but only lasted half a season......

I like the richmond gears, there's nothing wrong with a Pro gear from strange or Mark williams too, more $ but they hold up great as well. Just have to make sure they have them available for your specific rear.

Yukon are great quiet designed gears. US gear / perfection gear builds most oem rear gears. Can't go wrong there.

My Motive 3.73s are noisy, but have been strong thus far (knock wood).
