How do you like it? Pics?

I don't really care for the bolt you have to take out with the stocker on the head. Also mine doesn't come out easily most of the time and it's in the way. I wanted to get a firewall mounted unit.

Yes I have one. I got tired of the dip stick bolt also. The Lokar is a nice piece, just alittle hard to read the level of the fluid. Damm I hated that bolt.

Tried one on my PG. Absolutely useless for reading the level!

I was gonna get one for an 80e swap. Does anyone know of a 'factory style' hard tube setup for an ls1/80e setup?

Yea I read some other posts saying it had issues. Anyone ever do a different type mount for the stocker? I'm thinking of trying another mounting point after cutting it off. Up into the cowl would be nice just don't know if that is a good idea (water)

Summit shows a hughes locking dipstick http://www.summitracing.com/parts/HUP-HP2535/

Looks like it might not work since it would be on the firewall and you couldn't get the tube out?!?!?

The new style Lokar is nice. Locking dipstick, easy to read, and no more adapter to fill.

Dont forget if you run 10.99 or faster you have to have a locking dipstick. I had the non locking Lokar in one of mine and was told to change it begining of this year. I went back to a stock tube with the locking cap as at that time I did not see one their newer one that locks for a 4l60e listed anywhere. Are they making a locking one for a 4l60E and does anybody know their part number for it?
Thanks

Crazy request but can you post up a couple pictures of the pieces if you have one there? That's the hardest part in picking out things is no detailed pictures to see what we are working with.

Any chance you have a part number for the 4L60E 4th Gen Lokar? Maybe you sell it?

Just took the Lokar dipstick out of my car, it worked great on my 4L60. Only problem is findig a place to mount it. If you still have A/C then forget about it. BTW its for sale.

I have seen pictures of it mounted to the coil pack bolts. Is it impossible to mount at the firewall?

No its easy to mount to the firewall as long as there is no A/C bullshit in the way. I had mine mounted to one of the studs on the A/C delete panel with a wing nut screw. Worked great. When i wanted to check the fluid i just unscrewed the wing nut by hand, and it came of making it easy to check then tuck back on the firewall out of sight.
