Default 4.10's vs Cam...

I've been searching for a while and going back and forth whether I want to do a cam swap or gears. I haven't been able to find any hard results on it.
I looked on the GTO forum and there are only about 10 people that actually drag race there so its hopeless, but searching on here I havent found anything significant either.

The cam I'm planning on going with is a 234/236 613/613 112LSA
And the gears are going to be 4.10's.

I currently am at 12.0 - 12.1 @ 113.x with a best of 1.69 60'. (about 1500-2000DA)

My mods are -
Svede CAI, FAST 102, Kooks 1 7/8 LTs, Full 3", Tune (402/412)

I'm trying to dip into the 11's and know that both of these will put me there. I just want to get the most out of my money.

So let me know what kind of data everyone has!

I would put a converter in before I did anything else. It will get ya there and you will need it with a cam for later. and It does more for et than a gear, unless your running a stick. then I am out. Good luck.

Cam...you already have the FAST 102, so you should see good gains.

I figured that the gears would get me .2-.3

the cam, normally, picks up about 60whp....but as far as ET, no one that has tried it has ANY track numbers. Just a bunch of dyno queens.

my vote would be the cam. putting a lower gear into the rear, is only going to weaken it. put the $ in your motor, and save for a different rear, thats assuming your still on a 10 bolt..

cam and 3.90s not 4.10s

my buddy had a 06 gto cam only and went 11.50s @ 119ish

he had et streets, pumped upto 25 psi to save his irs and from wheel hop, he also had an airbag

I'd love to do both, just haven't robbed a bank lately lol.

I have ET Drags so it doesnt hop at all.

LS1GTO.com is a bunch of dyno queens. There are only and handful of active drag racers over there.

Cam.... That won't limit your MPH in the future like a set of 4.10's will
