Template for cutting stock spindles for drag brakes
Like the title says, I am looking for a template for where to cut the spindles for the strange drag brake setup. Should have my stuff shortly and just looking to get a head start on some items. I know you just cut off the stock caliper mount holes just not sure if there is any more or less. Could not find anything in a search or on strange's site.

Eric, even the full race setup? I know you have your own custom setup to use the factory hubs/bearings with ABS that would not have to be cut. That is good news less work. Now get back to finishing up the final welding on my k-member. LOL. Looking forward to it. Thanks again.

I just cut off just about flush with the holes and then dressed it up with a roloc whizzer with a 36 grit disc this was for stranges spindle mount brakes that eliminate the factory hub

Look at the first pic and you will see what I had to trim for the Strange Pro2's.

The 93-97 spindles require both of the big ears to be cut off... I will post a pic of that mod as well.

eric,
i just got a set from you guys the other day, and i was having an issue with the stock spindle lower hole blocking the mounting plate. so i just have to clearance the bottom right? also it looks like the holes on the spindle stick out a little more the the spindle mounting surface. Also little confused on the instructions with the strange caliper bracket, which way does the writing on the bracket face?instructions are mis-leading
sorry for the stupied questions just want to make sure its done correct.

I can't imagine not having to cut them off. I've put strange and aerospace brake kits on and both required the mounting points for the stock caliper bracket to be cut off.
Unless there's some other strange brake setup that I haven't seen/installed... you have to cut the ears off.
No real need for a template either, as you already found. Once you have the parts, it's pretty easy to tell what and where ya need to cut/grind.
