I'd like to get to at least 3000-3100 w/o me for a street car without drag brakes or hacking **** outta the car like door bars etc.. I have no clue how guys get their weights down so low.. this last time at the track I was 3250 w/o me basically with just **** taken out of the car... the following was done to get to that weight.. rear seats and front passenger seat removed, a/c removed, front sway removed, windshield washer reservoir removed, midbass speakers removed, and skinnys up front with 1/2 tank gas.

I've got my TA down to 2960 w/o me in it. Stock cloth drivers seat only, Strange manual brakes with Racecraft spindles, stock carpet and console, all the stock glass, and an aluminum block w/ TH350. I have unbolted all the unnecessary luxuries and brackets that can be unbolted but have not cut anything off, with the exception of swapping the t-tops for a hardtop.

After the next LSX race in GA I plan to get crazy with the saw and grinder. I have a minitub kit and lightweight carpet to install. The door bars, seat brackets, factory wiring harness, t-top well, rear seat tubs, and all the excess metal I can cut from the shock towers and anywhere else is coming out. I have already swapped the drivers seat for a Kirkey Pro Drag since the last time it was scaled. I will also likely swap my BMR drag bar for a lighter piece and maybe Speedglass front and rear. My goal is to get 150-250lbs out of the car.

I'm at 3200 w/o me in it, street weight (spare, jack, all the seats, half a tank of gas, etc.) The engine I have weighs just about what an ls1 does, maybe a little less.

I'm aiming for 2800 lbs with a tall deck iron block big block in the car, and a 25.3 cert chassis. Car will be back 1/2'd with a 4 link though... so it probably isn't really relative.

That's with a 235 lb driver as well.
